Positive: Reasonable price. Clean bathroom, plenty of hot water with good shower head and pressure. Didn't charge extra for checking out a bit late. 10 AM is ridiculous for a motel.
Negative: Room was pretty clean but smelled a bit damp and musty. Ridiculously early checkout at 10 AM! Doesn't work well for musicians. Maid knocked twice at 9:30 and 10:15. We checked out at 10:45 still tired.

Positive: The Onley Inn has a very congenial location in the heart of Virginia's Eastern Shore, and close to the main highway. The room was very quiet - except for a passing dog in the early evening, which wasn't a problem. I'm just noting that I heard it outside the room briefly.
Negative: The bathtub did not have a secure surface. It was slippery, so I felt the need to hold on to the safety bar, which is awkward in itself when one is using a shower. Commercially available anti-slip stickers of various designs are readily available, so the motel management should obtain them, since the surface is the worst place in the motel room to have a falling accident.
