This vacation rental is about 5 years old and HANDICAPPED FRIENDLY – featuring wide pocket doors, taller commodes, shower stall on first floor, open floor plan and access ramp to spacious deck and front door. Two bedrooms on first floor, 1) twin over full bunk bed, 2) queen sized bed. Eating area, kitchen, great room and gas fireplace round out the first floor. Cathedral ceiling, upstairs loft with futon, a larger bedroom with queen sized bed and private coffee deck. Second bathroom also features taller commode with bathtub/shower. Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, K-cup coffee.
Peaceful and relaxing Hickory Hills Lakeside Community is located on Rt. 940, with basketball/playground/pool in summer, catch and release fishing and more. Hickory Run State Park, Split Rock Lodge, historic Jim Thorpe, Lake Harmony, indoor/outdoor waterparks, white water rafting, bicycling, hiking, skiing, championship golf courses and casinos are just a few attractions minutes away. Sorry, no pets.

Summary: I use walker and rollator and was very pleased with this handicap-accessible chalet in a woodsy neighborhood in a gated community in the Pocono Mountains. I was there for 5 days with my two adult daughters. The living room/dining area had a very nice cathedral ceiling with tall windows and a beautiful view. We had a wonderful vacation here. Claire was very welcoming and quick to answer any questions we had. There were lots of deer and fawns to greet us as well. I highly recommend this vacation property.

Summary: The house is lovely. My father who walks with a walker could go through the house with ease. We could sit on porch and look at stars at night. All in it was a relaxing vacation.

Summary: A few different things with this rental-expect to communicate with the owner Claire regularly, she sends a separate contract outside of the website that needs to be signed before arrival. I’ve rented many times and never had this- With Covid it clearly states not to come if sick and refunds would be given - my husband was sick while we were there and ended up testing positive at the local pharmacy- we immediately packed up and cut our stay short and she is not refunding the rest of our stay…. I guess we should have just stayed ?! Owner does not leave any towels for guests use so you must bring your own and there is no cleaning service so you must clean the whole house before leaving- that wasn’t enjoyable on last day of vacation. Strange- but the toilets are all connected to the hot water - I’m sure there is a reason, but it takes away from the hot water from the house so taking a warm shower last about 3 mins, a bath for the kids was difficult. Also, there is no working washer and dryer. Overall house is clean and well kept, just a lot of extra effort to stay here.

Summary: The house is wheelchair accessible which is what we were looking for. It accommodated all of our needs. Easy in and out and plenty of space for my husband to get around on his own. Claire was amazing to work with. Very good communication on arrival, departure, items provided and not provided. Within driving distance to many places of interest. Overall a great place to stay and will be back when we’re in the area again.

Summary: We had a great time at the house. Everything was clean and organize. The house have everything you need for your stay. It is cozy. The owner is so nice and polite. She gave me information about where to go to have fun, food market, poll schedule. I recommend it for everyone.

Summary: This property is clean and well kept. The property owner Claire was very attentive and kind. Our winter getaway was everything we imagined and more. The fire place was a bonus after a day of snow play to come back to. We will definitely rent with Claire again.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. This place is very lovely. It was still decorated with Xmas tree that we enjoyed every day. You can find everything there starting from toilet paper and paper towels to different size of plates and kitchen stuff. If you are looking for a neat and comfy place, you won’t be disappointed by booking it. Claire, thank you for making our stay enjoyable!

Summary: First off, the pictures do not do this house justice! The place was immaculate and you can tell the owners take pride in their property. Everything was well stocked, the bed was super comfy and the owner was great to deal with. The area was quiet and peaceful to just sit out on the deck to relax. A great little getaway that I’d definitely recommend to anyone.
