Summary: Perfect choice for a getaway to recharge. Cabin has a woodsy rustic feel yet so cozy and comfortable. Fenced in backyard was a major plus as I had my “indoor” cat with me. She had plenty of space to roam. Jim was a wonderful host. I loved the solitude.Kathy

Summary: This cabin is stocked with everything you need, everything! Just bring your food! Jim and Effie are excellent hosts and go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable! I think the price is an excellent value as well! The peace of Wharton State forest makes for a memorable vacation!

Summary: This was truly a good find. Jim is the host with the most. Very approachable he went beyond the call . Since I left , I have recommended this place to at least five people. All I have to say is that I will be back. That blender was the bomb Diggy dig.

Summary: We had such a wonderful stay at the Quiet Cabin with our Dixie Dog. Jim greeted us with the warmest smile — truly such a kind and humble man. The cabin itself was adorable, and the little squeak of the wooden screen door instantly brought me back to childhood. So nostalgic and quaint. We were blown away by the thoughtful touches: the fridge stocked with fresh farm eggs, blueberry muffins, chocolate kisses, and even a bottle of wine and a steak for dinner. Jim always made sure we had enough food. It made the stay feel extra special. The property is absolutely beautiful — quiet, serene, and surrounded by nature. Our dog Dixie had the time of her life and didn’t want to leave! I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful, restorative getaway. Thank you, Jim and Effie, for such a lovely experience.
