Summary: This place was more amazing then we could have imagined. While we spent very little time at the cottage it provided everything we needed for a family of 6. It was in close proximity to everywhere we planned to visit. If we are ever back in the area again. This is where we would stay for sure! Hands down the best VRBO rental we have have stayed in.

Summary: We stayed here for three nights and there was plenty of room for our family of four. Our host was very responsive to any questions and the hospitality was exceptional. Our kids really enjoyed the snack selection that was provided as a gift! It was amazingly secluded since it was nestled in a wooded area in suburban St. Charles. We would definitely consider staying here again for future trips to the area!

Summary: Our family is from Springfield, MO which is about 4 hours from this VRBO. We wanted a small, relaxing getaway with our family of five (two adults, 5YO, 3YO, 2 month old) - and this was exactly what we needed! From the smallest detail of juice boxes in the fridge, to a fire pit, to comfy beds, this place has it all. This is probably one of the (if not the) nicest VRBOs we’ve stayed in. The owner was very kind, easy to communicate with - and even called 24 hours prior to our stay to see if there was anything we needed before arrival. We loved this stay & if we visit St Louis area again, this is where we’ll stay! The house itself is in a great location (literally a hidden gem!). Must stay! Thanks for an awesome few days!

Summary: We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Anita's cottage. Her thoughtful attention to detail and her quick response to any questions were much appreciated. Her rental home is lovely; lots of beautiful flowers and landscaping. When we asked her if we could borrow a card table of some sort for playing games she had delivered a small extra table she had along with 4 extra chairs. We were blessed to find lots of spices and cooking supplies, a generous basket of snacks on arrival, and several water bottles in the frig. My husband loved sitting outside with binoculars in the morning and seeing so many different kinds of birds and wildlife. Also he really appreciated the comfortable furniture and kings size bed upstairs. My favorite things were all the attention to details. We are both readers and there were great chairs and reading lamps in all of the rooms. In addition to the reading lamps we loved things like trash cans where you need them, and hooks to hang things on. When you travel a lot those are things you notice (and don't often find). This is a great place to stay and we will do so again.

Summary: Everything was amazing. The host was very informative and kind. It was above and beyond our expectations. The place was immaculate. We had everything we needed for a great experience. There were only 3 of us staying there but it would have been fine with a few more people. We didn't even use one of the bedrooms. Convenient location with close access to the main roadways. 5 stars without a doubt. We will stay there again!

Summary: The property was absolutely perfect. It was clean and peaceful. Our host, Anita, was very responsive. The location is close to the highway and wasn't far from the activities that we had planned. Our group of 6 will definitely like to return.

Summary: Pros: the friendly owner contacted us prior to our arrival via phone call to welcome us and ask about any special wants or needs we might have. Property is on a long private lane, set back from the road, with a very well-stocked fish pond. Interior has been beautifully renovated, and there is great lighting and plenty of storage space throughout thanks to dressers and armoires, as well as lots of wall hooks, despite the overall minimal square footage. Treats for kids and adults were provided and happily consumed! Fresh paint and extreme cleanliness throughout were much appreciated by all of us. Tiny galley kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, pots, and pans, and is well-lit; and appliances all work well. Appreciated the functional apartment-sized gas stove and dishwasher. Fridge is full-sized. Granite countertops throughout. Living space is long and narrow, doable for a couple of nights for a family of five like ours. Wi-fi connection is fast. We played some of the board games provided. Bedrooms and beds were ideal for us; king-size bed upstairs for my husband and I, along with a futon and larger bed for my two sons in the adjacent bedroom. Full bath with shower (no bathtub) upstairs was functional and pretty. My daughter took the downstairs bedroom/sitting area with queen bed and used the half-bath downstairs. Plenty of extra towels and blankets. Blinds and curtains everywhere to help block light and provide privacy. AC worked well once we adjusted vents to cool things better upstairs. Ceiling fans also helped with that. Cons: interior is smaller than it looks in the photos, as is typical, but again - it was fine for us for a few days, and well worth what we paid. Though the property is beautifully maintained and landscaped, neighbors are close by and the house is not as isolated as we had imagined. Lots of road noise was the backdrop for our fishing experience, though we certainly caught plenty of fish. Overall, it was a pleasure to discover this property to be so cozy, charming, clean, and welcoming. The owner obviously considered renters' every possible need and met those needs with flying colors! We would certainly return.
