The WATERVIEW COTTAGE is a charming, cozy cottage located on Merepoint Peninsula, 6 miles from Brunswick and 13 miles from LL Bean and Freeport shopping. It is quiet, private, has a living area, queen bed and small bedroom with two beds. It has a screened porch and private steps to the water (Maquoit Bay, part of Casco Bay). The western exposure provides beautiful sunsets over the water. It is perfect for a couple or small family. Rental includes all linens, WiFi and TV. You can walk to the other side of Mere Point peninsula to a Paul’s marina where you can get fresh lobster, sandwiches, ice cream, etc. This is a seasonal rental available from May through October.

Summary: Stay was purchased for my son and family. They were very pleased, and it worked out well for them. They were a bit surprised as kayaks were pictured in several of the photos, but were specifically stated as not available when they arrivedl. It was a bit too cold anyway, so all was well. Were a bit surprised that it was essentailly one room with curtains dividing bedrooms, but again, with one small child it was fine.

Summary: I came in autumn when it was chilly enough to need the space heaters. They were fine at making the cottage warm enough. It is a beautiful cottage with everything you need, and it has character. The porch is wonderful and I would have lived there in warmer weather! Location: excellent. Quiet. Beautiful water view. Susan is friendly and warm. I will definitely come back. I highly recommend this cottage!

Summary: The pictures in the listing don't do this quaint cottage justice. It's adorable! Our favorite spot was the screened in porch which faces the water. It was the perfect quiet getaway before school started for me and my teenage boys. Bring your Telescope because the absence of light pollution allows you to see billions of stars in the sky.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay - very relaxing. We love the area and the fact that coast is a little cooler over all than inland. The cottage is spacious and the queen bed is very good. I would however suggest new mattresses & covers for twin beds.

Summary: This place is a hidden gem! The outdoor space and private beach access made the trip. The screenporch was the best place to watch the sunsets then enjoy coffee in the morning!

Summary: We enjoyed our quiet stay, just what we needed! We wanted for nothing except food, which of course we brought with us or went the short distance to Brunswick for. Susan came out to greet us upon our arrival even though it was after dark, which was very nice.

Summary: The owners were very helpful and responsive. A little more rustic than I had hoped but we enjoyed the porch in the mornings before the sun made it too difficult to use in the early evenings. Bathroom was very cramped and difficult to share with 4 people! The kitchen had everything you could want or need which was nice. I wasn’t crazy about the neighborhood as it’s just off a somewhat busy 2 lane highway/road so there’s nowhere to walk other than across the street to the marina coffee shop (which was great by the way). The yard was really pretty and very well kept. You do have use of the small waterfront beach area but you must walk through the yard and close to the home of the owners which we found pretty awkward so we didn’t go down there as much as we would have liked. The curtains in the main room (where the queen bed is located)were very thin and too short for the windows so not a lot of privacy at night plus made it impossible to sleep past about 5:00am. The twin beds were very uncomfortable with mattresses with the springs showing through-very painful and difficult for the kids to sleep. However overall we enjoyed the stay. It’s very close to the town of Brunswick and Bowdoin College which was the main reason we were there so all worked out just fine!
