Positive: Perfect spot to spend a night for my Camino. It's 1 km off the path but totally worth it. Lovely staff. Wonderful villa. Terrific breakfast. The car that had been arranged to take me to dinner pulled up at the place where all of my Camino friends happened to be, and it was delicious and an incredible value. Then there was port wine waiting for me when I got back to the quinta.

Summary: Gorgeously maintained Portuguese villa with lovely staff. I felt so lucky to stay here.

Positive: The hostess was lovely, charming and very welcoming. We were taxied to the venue for our evening meal and in the morning we were taxied to the start of our walk. We were treated to a glass of port ,after dinner drink ( a lovely touch) ,provided by the host before bedtime.

Negative: It was cold and damp in the bedroom. There was ample space to eat ‘in house’ and an apparent chef, but no food prepared or cooked fresh on the premises- we were taxied to an Albergue, which was very busy, noisy with canteen style overbooked food. Most/ all of the breakfast food was processed/ packaged convenience food.

Summary: A welcoming hostess, offering authentic Portuguese accommodation in a beautiful rural location.
