Positive: The cleanliness, the space in general.

Negative: The water was extremely hot, we were worried about our skin, we had to shower almost with cold water to avoid skin burns. The staff didn't take into consideration all the guests and left only 2 beds ready instead of 3 abd there were not enough towels for the 5 of us. When I called the number marked in the house, I was told that I contacted Madeira island!! ($$) And that they were going to contact the staff. There was no place to find any staff. All was closed. Nobody was available to help us. In the end we received the sheets and towels...but all this could have been prevented. This didn't make us feel welcome. It felt you were unprepared to receive our visit. The horses in the back, by the house's terrace, attract many insects, which is normal, but that prevented us from using the terrace...also the smell...horse crap. It must be specified that there is a considerable distance between the house and the pool. We couldn't use it for this reason. We had someone with reduced mobility with us.

Summary: Perfect on the inside, less on the outside. Far away pool and horses really really close.

Positive: The property is set in beautiful surroundings with the village of Bucelas only around a 15 min walk away. The pool area is very nice and well kept. Mariana the host is very friendly, helpful and informative. The city of Lisbon is around 35-40 mins away via taxi and there's lots to do in the surrounding areas.

Negative: There's nothing about the property that I didn't like but the map that Uber and Uber Eats drivers use doesn't have the property on it so it's difficult to explain to them how to get to there if you don't speak Portuguese. However, this is not a fault of the property it's just worth knowing if you are arriving to the property late and haven't brought groceries with you and want to get a food delivery. We found that drivers from Bolt were much better at being able to find it.

Positive: Nearly everything. It’s charming, comfortable, clean, with beautiful countryside views all around. The kitchen was equipped with all the basics for enjoying dinners with a glass of wine. For the properties size, the value was outstanding.

Negative: Our only suggestions are to leave a dish towel or paper towel towels for cleanup. The owner could consider adding something to make the two mattresses more comfortable, in the bedroom with the trundle bed. In our case, two adults slept on those; an adult could’ve used a bit more support. Maybe a mattress topper?
