Positive: If you want authentic Portuguese hospitality and cuisine, this is the place to stay. Fatima and Jose could not be more welcoming. Don’t expect up to date modern facilities, but expect to feel welcomed and at home. The pool was a welcome relief from the sun and the homemade food was absolutely delicious.

Negative: Rooms are a little in the small side (we had a lot of luggage) and drainage isn’t the best, but it all works in its own authentic way.

Summary: An authentic Portuguese experience with hosts I wanted to take home with us.

Positive: Fatima and Jose were superb hosts! Helped us figure out everything. Cooked a fabulous breakfast. They couldn't do enough for us. In the warmer months, with the pool, this would be a lovely family holiday retreat.

Positive: Fatima and her husband were so friendly from the moment we arrived until we left. Hugs and kisses as though we were family. The breakfast was lovely, served outside in a marquee in the garden area.

Negative: Everything was lovely. The best nights sleep I had in a month on the road in Spain and Portugal.
