Positive: We loved the location. It was so peaceful & quiet. It was just an overnight but the breakfast the next morning was delicious. Many homemade or farm to table offerings.

Positive: Norther Portugal is remarkable with so much to see and do, but sometimes just taking time to relax and enjoy the tranquility can be exactly what you need. This centuries old farmhouse just a few kilometers from the city of Guarda is a chance to get away from the stress of travel. The host met us on arrival and showed us in to this renovated and adapted farmhouse. Nice large rooms and bathrooms, a communal living room and dining area, and seating outside in the courtyard, all clean and tidy with centuries of history to explore. We honestly felt at home away from home, and chose to spend our time relaxing and wondering the fields around the farmhouse, rather than dashing off to see more of the country. I have to mention breakfast because it was fantastic, with everything grown or produced on the farm, other than the cheese which came from the neighbors. We will definitely be revisiting and taking more time to explore the area, with the farmhouse as somewhere to recharge with the welcoming and knowledgeable owners. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Positive: Amazing place! Such a warm, relaxing and friendly environment, made us feel at home. Great room and private toilet - everything modernised and authentic at the same time. Joaquim was an incredible host!!! Extremely friendly, making sure we were comfortable and gave us amazing recommendations (from restaurants to activities and places to explore in the region). Outstanding staff! Delicious breakfast with a huge variety. Highly recommend it! Definitely will come back :)

Positive: Sympathetically converted stone farmhouse with stunning architecture and beautifully presented. The bedrooms are generous and well equipped and the property is set in a fantastic rural location just a few kilometres from the town of Guarda. The host was also extremely generous and very welcoming and served a delicious breakfast with local produce from the farm. I stayed there whilst passing through the country and enjoyed my stay so much, I stayed again on my return leg.
