Positive: The location was spectacular and the design/location of the lodge was nice and secluded. We spent most of our time around the coast and the Mach Loop during our stay exploring beautiful Wales. We were greeted with a lovely bottle of Prosecco inside the room too which we were thankful for after a 4hr drive and were impressed with the design and quite secluded feel, along with it's cosy atmosphere. It's worth noting the hot tub - whilst nice - took 3 hours to heat up and by the time we used the wood by the fire inside to heat it up, we gave up as I didn't want to spend £10-20 on more wood so made do with the temperature it had achieved. It was nice to sit in there and relax for a while either way. The lighting inside the room was nice and cosy and the bedding, and towels were nice and clean.
Negative: A few small but significant negatives ruined our stay and caused us to leave on the Saturday afternoon instead of Sunday morning when we were due to check out. Whilst it was quirky, we wouldn't describe it as luxury and didn't feel it was worth the £750 for 4 nights at all. 1. Blackfly - now it's warm, they've got a serious blackfly problem there. It drove us nuts in the end and was one reason we left on our last day rather than stay one more final night. We used fly spray to no effect and found lots of black fly every day taking haven inside the lodge. They woke us up flying around and landing on us each night. 2. Ventilation - they need a fan or air-con in there really. It got quite hot in the day. The kitchen Extractor fan doesn't have any pipe routing to the outside so just blasts hot air into the cupboard above, then into the lodge again. On this, some of the fixtures and fittings like the kitchen splashback needed some TLC as it had loose fittings. 3. The Boiler was loud, and kept kicking in through the night disturbing our sleep. 4. The walks - we decided to try the hill walk as it was one they recommended doing. It was barely walkable and we found ourselves working through nettles, high grasses and spikey bushes when walking from the hill pond, across the ridge and down the ledge of the hill. We're early 30s, fit and active and found it a bit of a pain... It needs a path. We decided to not even try to walk down to the "bathing spot" because we couldn't see a way down there. 5. The Curtains. This was a big frustration for me sadly. I was woke up at 5am around sun rise to the flies trying to land on it, but also the sunlight beaming through wafer thin curtains. The kitchen window has no curtain (and needs one!), and the large glass doors need at least one more curtain adding to it at least as they don't close fully. This plus the fly issue found us having little sleep and going home early in the end.
Summary: Quirky Yes, Luxury Not Quite.

Positive: I loved the gorgeous lodge that we stayed it. It felt luxurious and fun. And we especially liked the manual hot tub.
Negative: There wasn't much of anything to hate. They're was a night where there was loud music being played from the nearby house, I think due to a birthday party, but our stay was amazing.

Positive: very private and very clean For a muslim woman who wears a hijab it was very private so i didnt have to walk around outside with hijab. vegan vegeterian food options nearby in local villages and town. not too far from the beach and the farm is beautiful to walk around on.
Negative: would have been nice to have a microwave to warm food up quickly but other than that kitchen had everything we needed. Also would be nice to have thicker curtains so you dont feel looked in at night even though theres no-one around but you can just get that feeling that someone can look in. Also would be better if the TV was in a position where you can watch from the bed.. maybe a pullout stand for the tv just so you can move it more to the middle.
Summary: Perfect and Peaceful and Private. Host were really helpful and Nice
