Positive: A good place to stay, close to shops and the sights of Meaux. Next to the Temple church. Facilities were fine.

Negative: The people staying in the apartment above us on our first night were very noisy and disturbed us. They had gone on the second night and it was then very quiet. It would have been better to have two bedside lights in the bedroom since it did not have a ceiling light.

Negative: We had a nice stay at the apartment, but there are definitely a few areas that could be improved to make it more comfortable. The overall cleanliness left something to be desired – the cutlery and plates felt dusty, and the washing-up sponge was already dirty when we arrived. There was also an old smell lingering in the apartment, which could be improved with better ventilation or freshening up, as well as Apartment B has no lighting whatsoever in the bedroom. Some of the furniture, like the table and chairs, were loose and unsteady, and we noticed a few loose sockets, which could be a safety concern. The hoover provided was dirty and not functioning properly – a simple broom and dustpan might be more useful. It was also a bit surprising that there were no wine glasses, which is something you’d typically expect in a French apartment. Overall, the stay was okay, but with a bit of attention to cleanliness and a few thoughtful upgrades, the experience could be much more enjoyable.
