Positive: The view, friendly receptionist.

Negative: No breakfast available, ground floor room we were first offered was outdated with double bed at the rear like a dungeon! We were moved to another room for one night upstairs which was better decorated but smaller and cheaper but not offered any refund. For the last two nights of the three we moved to another downstairs room only a little better than the first. On our last evening there was a nasty aroma of sewage in the bathroom.

Positive: Balcony with a great view. The room was well designed and had a comfortable, fitted bed. Car parking is available at the property. The receptionist gave a very warm welcome. Kanala was a great place to explore the best beaches of the island, which are nearby.

Negative: Accommodation on Kythnos was the most expensive we’ve seen in Greece. We arrived in August, but 117€/night seemed excessive, even if it was late August/September. The room was a little dark and the bathroom felt a bit like a cave. A 10-15 walk minute down to the town.

Summary: A bit overpriced, but generally pleasant

Positive: Absolutely everything you need there. Bedding/extra blankets on a chilly night Dishwasher/washing machine etc Netflix is a bonus to Wi-Fi Lovely spacious balcony. Didn’t realise till too late there’s a roof terrace.

Negative: Nothing

Summary: From booking to communicating regarding getting into the apartment to checking if we’d had a nice time was outstanding
