Bring the whole family and unwind in this waterfront holiday home. Described as ‘old-school-cool’, it perfectly suits the Raglan vibe.
Watch the children play in the private garden. Swim, fish or kayak off the steps into the water (kayaks, boogie boards and SUP provided). Enjoy your evenings on the top floor deck overlooking the estuary and catch a view of a famous Raglan sunset.
As featured in the “Baches of Raglan” book by Venetia Sherson, stay in a piece of history.
The two-story house consists of 3 bedrooms, each brimming with beachy character. Located just a 10 minute walk to town with its cafes, restaurants, art, markets and music.
Upstairs has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge with a large open deck. Be as peaceful or as busy as you like.
PLEASE NOTE: The indoor toilet bathroom is an ensuite so you need to go through one of 2 bedrooms to access. There is a second outdoor bathroom available for use also.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire house, deck, private garden and pier. There are benches for reading and even a little fish pond. The owner doesn't live far and can be readily accessible to answer any questions you may have.

We are now operating our fifth season. With time we’ve learned valuable lessons. Please read and acknowledge the following:
The house is located in a quiet family neighbourhood. This is NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Only the approved number of guests may stay on the property. Pets may be considered, please contact the owner to discuss.
There is a modest cleaning fee, however please LEAVE THE HOUSE AS YOU FIND IT (including the bbq). Please strip beds and put towels and linen in laundry baskets. This is an easy house to keep clean and everything you may need is provided.
There is no bond or payment required to use our kayaks, however we ask that you take very good care of them. They are not to be dragged down to the water, two people need to lift and carry them down. At the end of your stay please rinse them under the hose and return them to the garage along with the paddles, life vests and seats. If you notice any damage or anything that requires attention please inform us.

Summary: We had a great 5 night stay, the house was exactly as listed and has real character with the view from the top floor being stunning. Being able to use the kayaks provided by the host was a real bonus. The location is close enough to walk into town yet still very quiet and peaceful. Excellent communication by the host as well. Summary: Great location, loved sitting on the deck looking out and enjoying the breeze. Sits right on the estuary... perfect as our kids were at Soundsplash so location was primo! We had some old info for entering the property, but owner was easily contactable and came straight back to us, to tell us what to do. A short walk into Raglan for breakfast. Would stay again.

Summary: Location Location Location! Easy walkable access to Raglan and spectacular beaches. No need to drive anywhere for running, cycling, kayaking, great coffee etc…. We loved our stay in this classic Kiwi bach. The laid back tone. of this property fits well in the Raglan vibe. A large kitchen/ living area with porch provides beautiful views and plenty of room to spread out. The quiet neighbourhood was a great escape from the beach going crowd and town. Sherry was a great host. Communication were quick and responsive throughout the booking process and during our stay. Thank you Sherry!

Summary: This was our first time renting this place and we loved it! We had a great long weekend here. It is a classic old school kiwi bach in an awesome location. There were kayaks and a paddle board to use, and also wifi. Don’t forget to take your chrome cast or Apple TV if you want to watch something other than the spectacular views and sunsets. Recommend for families.
