Positive: The room was spacious being a 2 bedroom, even though we only needed 1 room.
Negative: There weren't any games in there. And being in the back unit behind the one in the main picture with the big deck, you can't really see the view at all unless you stand in the yard and look over the fence. We were lucky our friends were in the big apartment with the deck and we could share it but if you were travelling as a couple and staying in the back unit, theres no good easy view of sunset. Also, the heater needed an extension cord. The only PowerPoint in the main room was near the curtains, so we had to have the heater in the living room. Luckily, our friends had a sim you can call on because we had to call the host as we weren't given the information on how to access the unit before arrival, as it is self check in.

Negative: House was adequate but very sterile & basic facilities, furnishings. Not inviting, no sofa, no Freeview TV, no washing machine or dryer. Not very private, not much of a view. No games or books. Website didn't show which photos related to the cottage vs the front house.
Summary: Wouldn't stay here again, there's much nicer places in the area.

Positive: Simple cottage with plenty of facilities. Beautiful location. Comfortable beds.
Negative: Basic and a bit dated here and there. No decent views from the cottage. No extractor hood in the kitchen.

Positive: Very nice location for a trip up the Northwest coast of South Island. Close to beaches and Pancake Rocks. A good base to head further up the coast to Cape Foulwind where we saw the seals. It actually could take 4 people but we only had 2.
Negative: Our cottage was right behind another, so we didn't have a view from inside the place.
