Positive: It was a very roomy and well equipped house, close to the centre of Twizel. There are lovely sunny places at the rear of the property for sitting and relaxing.
Negative: Being on a main road there was quite a lot of traffic noise, including occasional big trucks and loud motorcycles, fortunately not much during the night as the main bedroom is at the front of the property.
Summary: A comfortable place to stay in Twizel for a few days.

Positive: Great location for trips to the alpine areas. Excellent laundry facilities. A lot of space, would be really good for larger groups or extended families. The cottage has mixed areas - some new or renovated, whilst other areas are older with creaky floors. The enclosed patio area is fantastic for drying clothes and relaxing. The garden is pretty and well maintained.
Negative: It was extremely hot and the aircon was not able to help much. There are no screens on the windows so we needed to close them once bugs started to come in. We ran out of bin bags and space in the outside bin, we suspect the previous renters failed to put the bin out for collection.
