RAZOR CLAM SEASON IS OPEN. The Whale’s Tale is our place to unwind and reset. Drink your morning coffee while watching the waves break upon the beach, listen to the wind in the dune grass as you walk the Discovery Trail, or just sit upon the patio watching the Pacific Ocean. Walk the beach, go clamming, bird watching, skim boarding, or just reading quietly as the waves crash below, all is possible at the Whale’s Tale.

Pacific Crest Condominiums sits on top of the bluff with amazing views of the ocean. 10 minute walk through the forrest to the beach and Discovery Trail and a half mile walk to the town of Seaview and 5 minute drive to Longbeach and Cape Disappointment State Park.
Guest will have free parking in the parking lot.
The Whale’s Tale is designed to provide a calm coastal escape from the daily stress of life. A large picture window allows everyone to view the ocean and forrest even while in the kitchen. The open concept keeps everyone engaged whether cooking, bird watching, or doing a puzzle or playing one of our favorite board games.

Summary: Had a great stay at this quiet location. With games to play in the evenings and the sounds of the ocean never got around to turning on the TV. Walk to the beach to play in the sand and drive a few minutes to food and tourist activities.

Summary: the home was wonderful. it was a little hard to find since the numbers on the condos were not in order. The road going up to the condos which no one used was so steep that 2 gals in their 70's found hard to maintain our balance just getting our suitcases from the back of the car and into the condo. Way further from the ocean than anticipated. We did not find any of this out until we got to the condo. Heads up if you have mobility problems. the one complaint about the condo was there was a tangled mess of sheets, towels pillowcases in the dryer that were not dry. I don't think the dryer was working very well. And the smart tv you could only use if you were smart enough to enter all the info it asked before you could use it. Missed beginnings of Olympics which was a bummer.

Summary: A very quiet stay with a beautiful view. The place was generous with towels, garabage bags, toilet paper and papertowels. (I find that these items are often very restricted.) Christian responded in a timely manner to the one queation I had. We are already looking forward to returning.

Summary: For our family the location was perfect, walkable to good restaurants and the beach, but the steep slope on the driveway and parking areas may be a deterrent to some. The complex was very quiet and combined with the views made for especially enjoyable mornings and evenings. We found the layout perfect for two couples and the kitchen sufficiently stocked to cook a few meals. The place does not have AC and despite it being early June it did get warm. Fans are provided to cool the place down, but it could get too warm for some in hotter summer months. The locks for the sliding door in the master bedroom and door in the living room to the back patio were broken, and were not able to be fixed during our stay.

Summary: This 2 bdrm 2 bathroom condo was perfect for 2 couples. Very spacious & beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfy & the view of the ocean was stunning. We even had a deer visit us up close! The communication with Christian, our host, was fantastic. He sent many messages reminding us of check in procedures, door codes, where to reach him, & has an online information pack that is great. The only thing that was not well explained was the directions for getting to the right building. We arrived in the dark & had the address & unit # but there was no lighting for us to see it. It was a bit of a hike to the beach & 2 of our group could not walk that far - but it’s a very short drive to access the beach. We had a wonderful 2 days & would highly recommend Whale’s Tale.

Summary: The Whale’s Tail is turn- key accommodation for a relaxing ocean view and beach visit. The place is tastefully decorated to its name and very clever. Everything is complete which makes it so turn-key. Plus proximity to very fine restaurants and the Discovery Trail makes Whale’s Tail the one-stop stay for vacation! We have booked several times and will continue to return!

Summary: Nice condo, nice comfortable beds, nice bathrooms with very nice huge jetted tub. Back door was unlocked when we arrived and we could not lock the back door. Fireplace not working and no light in smaller bedroom. Very steep driveway, not a big deal unless a person was handicapped. For the price I would stay there again for sure.
