Welcome to Riverbend. This recently renovated rental unit is the downstairs apartment in a two family home. This spacious 2 bedroom dwelling is on the East Branch of the Delaware river. Walk out the backdoor and down the expansive back lawn to enjoy the sound of the river as it flows past. There is plenty of room in the driveway to park a drift boat and river access (as well as a car wash) for launching is nearby. Please note, there are beautiful river views from the property, but no direct river access.
This home has two bedrooms, each with queen beds, as well as a couch in the living room that pulls out to a queen sleeper. The home has a single full bath.
This home is situated in a small neighborhood right on the water. From the front door, you can walk to restaurants, the grocery store, the post office and a drug store. If you prefer, you can park your car when you arrive, and not use it again until you leave.
Well behaved pets will enjoy the fenced in backyard area. You will enjoy the kitchen stocked with everything you need to prepare a simple breakfast or a full meal - you just provide the food!

Summary: Stayed here with a friend for a wedding in the area. The house is very conveniently located within minutes walking of the shops and restaurants in Hancock. The check in process was easy and the house was ready for us when we arrived. I would stay here again if I ever returned to the area.

Summary: Sweet spot right on the water, added bonus in that the hosts have their collection of fly fishing books there for the low time. Great for a dog also as there’s a fenced spot they can hang out whilst you’re busy in the riverHoping to come back in the summer for another run at that river!

Summary: Just stayed for a month and had a lovely time! Fully stocked for cooking and very helpful and communicative hosts. We stayed over Thanksgiving and had a party of four, Maria and John brought us their nice cutlery and anything else we needed that was missing. John even sent a nice email with local breweries when we showed interest.Our pooch loved the living room sliding doors and basking in the sun. We loved the River view and deer that would come by. The neighborhood is friendly and you can walk everywhere. We barely used our car the whole month!Would love to stay again in another season just to get a different experience of the town (which has a bit more going on in summer). But we really enjoyed the quiet and the space - a nice break from being cramped in NYC, especially during the pandemic. Thanks John and Maria!

Summary: The property was well stocked, comfortable beds, close to city center, but still a country feel. Wonderful views of Delaware river and surrounding hills from the property. It was a disappointment that we couldn't access the river directly from the property.

Summary: We had a great stay at Maria’s property over the 4th of July. Our lab loves the water, so the location off the Delaware River was ideal for swimming, and the fenced in yard was a nice touch as well. We had a few minor points of feedback (limited A/C and loud neighbors), but Maria addressed this with us and sounds like she is taking appropriate measures to ensure this won’t be an issue for future renters. It was easy to communicate with Maria and she was extremely responsive to our needs. Hope to be back to visit soon.

Summary: We stayed at Maria and John’s place during a weekend of floating the West Branch of the Delaware. It’s an extraordinarily clean and comfortable place. Beautiful views of the river in the back yard - we saw an eagle in the tree outside! Everything is brand new - beautiful country kitchen cabinets. Very cozy living area and exceptionally comfortable beds. Excellent location in Hancock - groceries, drugstore, fly shops nearby. 5 minute drive from the takeout just below the Route 191 bridge.
