Summary: If you love trains, you’ll love the Red Caboose! We stayed in car 26 and it was very comfortable and so charming. Bonus : the steam engine passes by a few times a day!

Summary: Stayed at The Red Caboose Motel in July 2025. I have stayed at this establishment a number of times since 2016. I was assigned to the New Haven Caboose which is one of several Cabooses that received fresh exterior paint last year. Room interior was comfortable with two wall unit A/C units which kept the room cool. Room also featured Cable flat screen TV, coffee maker, microwave, and mini-fridge. I dined at the on-site Casey Jones Restaurant and had a good dinner. The Motel is having free concerts during the Summer on Thursday evenings at the on-site Barn entertainment venue with drinks and appetizers available for purchase. All in all, I enjoy my stays at The Red Caboose Motel and will return.

Summary: Our second year in a row staying on July 3rd to experience the wonderful festival and fireworks. We were actually gonna go ahead and reserve for next July 3 but was told since it’s on a Friday it would be a two night minimum. Unfortunately, we cannot stay for the two nights and will probably miss next year. Wonderful place, wonderful event, wonderful people. I highly recommend this place.

Summary: Don't want to give away the real secret but stay in the Farm House. Beautiful evenings on the porch watching the trains go by, looking at the incredible farm lands.

Summary: If you want to stay in a memorable location, look no further than the Red Caboose Motel. The rooms are clean and offer many amenities on the property. They even have a petting zoo and offer buggy rides (for a fee). The restaurant served excellent food. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay and to watch the Strasburg Rail Road trail travel by several times a day. I would highly recommend staying here.
