Summary: Great hotel pretty new as well compared to other hotels. A little pricey considering it was far away from downtown. Not a lot of restaurants around. Other then that it was a great stay

Summary: Red Sea Hotel is a decent option for Djibouti. There was lots of parking and the staff was very friendly. There was a door man who helped carry luggage, watched our vehicle, and opened the door for us each time we entered the building. The reception staff was very polite and spoke decent English. We were even allowed to check in early. The room was clean and a routine cleaning service is offered each day. The a/c worked well and we were in a room that had a small kitchenette and full size refrigerator which was nice for our extended stay. The breakfast is also very nice with omelettes, various breads, tea/coffee, and juice. The only thing that could be improved would be some basic maintenance in the room. Some of the light fixtures were loose or not working. Many of the faucets are rusted. But it's difficult to keep these things well maintained in Djibouti.
