Here at Udder house I pride myself that my standard of cleaning has always been high. To reassure you, following the government recommended guidelines these are the measures taken to ensure your safety, at these unprecedented times.
Based on the recent information available. To help travellers’ peace of mind, I will be avoiding back-to-back stays. This will help minimise the likelihood of contamination by allowing enough time for cleaning and disinfection. in addition to normal thorough cleaning all high touch surfaces will have been deep cleaned and disinfected. Hand wash and hand sanitiser has been provided. With additional cloths and spray cleaner provided.
All my bedding is hotel standard washed on a high heat and put through a steam roller press. Extra hand towels have also been provided for all the additional hand washing.
Udder Hoose started life as a dairy and has been extensively renovated into a delightful cottage with in the farm courtyard. The cottage is surrounded by farmland with stunning views of Sandend Bay. It is just short walk to the Bay’s beach and spectacular walks along the coastal path. Portsoy with all its amenities is only a short walk or drive away.
The cottage is spacious and is all on one level, comfortably sleeps 4 people in two en-suite bedrooms. Large open plan kitchen, dining, living room with wood burner and stunning sea view.
Master bedroom with a king size four poster bed and large en- suite bathroom (with shower over).
Second bedroom with option of a super king size double or twin beds with en-suite shower room. Unfortunately we cannot expect guests pets, due to our own dogs ,cats sheep & chickens.

Summary: Set in beautiful countryside. Photos are accurate. Seating a bit low for us elderly folk. Would probably be fine for younger people. Owner very helpful. Very friendly cat would have loved to be inside with us, but a bit miffed to be made to stay outside. Choice of central heating or log burner was helpful given that the weather was a bit mixed. Well equipped if you wanted to cook, which we didn't. Very quiet setting.

Summary: We had a fabulous stay at Redhythe Cottage! The view is incredible and the location was convenient to access the nearby beach. The cottage was quaint, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a great stay. I highly recommend staying here!

Summary: Our family holiday at Redhythe Farm was amazing. The property was perfect for us, very spacious and very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The view of the bay is breathtaking and I don’t think I would ever tire of looking at it, especially when the sun is setting on a summer evening. Thanks so much to the hosts of the property, we had the best time.

Summary: This is a lovely cottage overlooking Sandend Beach and just 5 minutes drive (25 minutes walk along a coastal path) from the attractive fishing village of Portsoy with its historic harbour, cafes and shops. This was our second visit and we received another warm welcome from Theresa and Keith. They live in the adjacent property so are close at hand if needed but never obtrusive. The cottage is very well equipped, catering for four people in two bedrooms each with a bathrooms but feels very cosy with just the two of us. This time we had the additional joy of long evenings, watching the lingering and beautiful sunsets over the hills of Sutherland on the other side of the Moray Firth - at 10.30 pm. What a delight! This is a place of peacefulness and of quiet restoration, away from the hustle and bustle of life but if you can be dragged away from watching the sea and the birds from the deck, there is easy access to main roads to visit other attractions of this lovely part of Scotland. Thank you, Theresa and Keith for sharing this bit of paradise with us.

Summary: The property was very clean and the owner greeted us on arrival, gave us a quick tour before leaving us to it. The location of this cottage is fantastic. You can walk down to Sandend in your wetsuit for a surf, lovely rock hunting beaches in walking distance too. Easy and beautiful walk along coastal path into Portsoy, past old Lido. We had the joy of an Eagle landing in field very close to cottage and plenty of seabird and seal life along coastal path.

Summary: Udder Hoose at Redhythe Farm was the ideal place for us to unwind during a winter break. Theresa and Keith were perfect hosts and made us very welcome. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and makes a good base for exploring the locality. Great views from the cottage across Sandend bay. Portsoy is just a short walk/drive away.
