Positive: I really enjoyed the location as it is a great launch point for visiting the skelligs. The island is beautiful and there is a town with a restaurant and a bar about half a mile away. There are lots of areas for relaxing walks. I enjoyed being able to have some quiet time by the private beach. It's a great area to stay to explore Kerry.
Negative: The private bathroom for my room was not attached to the room.

Positive: Our stay at Reenglas house was incredible. The location and views are STUNNING. The house is beautifully maintained and very comfortably furnished - I slept like a baby in a very comfortable bed with the sounds of the ocean right outside the window. We were looking for a restful retreat and Reenglas house was exactly what we needed. Our hosts were friendly and informative, and the breakfast was delicious.
Negative: The single (and very minor!) downside to our stay was that our bathroom wasn’t connected to our room and that the shower water pressure was very low. That said, it was only just across the hall, and having to come out of our room didn’t bother us in the slightest! Just good for others to know that that may be the case for some (but not all) rooms.
Summary: Wonderful, quiet retreat with incredible views.

Positive: This home is full of charm and character. Reenglass sits right on the water with incredible all day views whether from your room or the perfectly set bench underneath a huge shade tree on the beach. Kieran is a wonderful and attentive host and Darren is a fabulous chef. All we asked and more each of our four days on the island. Don’t miss out on this Valentia Island home.
