Positive: Amazing breakfast Calm place-you can go to shop and restaurant by boat just to the other side of river! Big bed :) We had a trip to tribal and dolphins and it was really amazing-we enjoyed every day here!

Positive: It’s a beautiful place to stay both nature wise and facilities wise. People in the community are wonderful and you feel secluded without feeling too far away from Manaus. The staff, Tom and Lucas, were incredible and made the stay that much better. The jungle half day tour was really fun and that was organised by the hostel with a third party. We even got to see a film screening in the middle of the river with the hostel and that was really cool.
Negative: Because we’re a bit isolated you have to pay for any excursion outside of the hostel (makes sense) but I think we were overcharged a bit. Recommend researching tours yourself first before going with the hostel’s tour because we didn’t get much explanations in ours since the guide was the hostel staff. You could also cross the river into the community and ask people there if some locals have any contacts for jungle or indigenous tours.

Positive: The staff is friendly, the food is fantastic, and the location is just at the heart of the rainforest, which was exactly what I was looking for. Good for relaxation, there is no internet or signal at the cottage, which allows for social media detox. However, broadband is available near the main building/restaurant if you can't live without internet. I was able to do a couple of web/video calls to my office early in the morning before going deep into the forest.
Negative: Nothing to mention.
Summary: Great place to enjoy what the rainforest has to offer!
