In the fall the changing leaves are gorgeous. With room for 8 the house is perfect for a family gathering, a group of friends or a romantic weekend away. The kitchen has a full compliment of pots and pans and there's a grill on the deck. A dozen farm fresh eggs just asking to be made in to omelettes are waiting in the fridge. DirecTV and WiFi means you won't miss anything. Take a stroll over to the waterfall at the end of the road, or a longer walk up Macedonia Road - the NYTimes called it one of the great country walking roads. Beebe Pond State Forest is just around the corner with a real fire tower to climb - incredible 3 state views! You're only 5 minutes to the Spencertown Country Store, 10 minutes in to Chatham, 20 minutes to Hudson or Tanglewood in Lenox, 25 to Great Barrington. Catamount Mountain skiing is only 15 minutes away and Jiminy Peak is 30. Smack dab in the middle of everything but a world away!

Summary: Our stay was lovely the property was very clean and plenty of space to enjoy as a group. It was a little hard to find the place at night because we had the wrong house number from the listing but Tim was very helpful and answered everyone we needed something.

Summary: We had a great time, but you could possibly supply a hair drier and some sort of hooks would be great for coats. Soap should be a must....little bars. Above all probably the most important is that a top sheet between the coverlet and the bed would be an asset. Thank you for listening to my comments. Judith

Summary: Great no-frills little house on a beautiful street perfect for enjoying the quiet and scenic area. We stayed with our 2 young children over a fall weekend. The house is simple but had everything we needed. Thank you for all the small things like coffee, cream, and paper products. Great value. Very nice and responsive host. Thank you!!

Summary: We had an enjoyable winter wonderland weekend in this house - 4 adults and a toddler. The kitchen is well-stocked and had everything we needed. The hosts were responsive and thoughtful - leaving farm fresh eggs and other amenities for us when we arrived. It also snowed about 8 inches the Sunday we were there, and they promptly plowed the driveway (and my toddler loved watching the little tractor plow). The master and queen beds/comforters were very comfortable. The house is certainly not new, and you can see the flaws, but it did not put a dent in our enjoyment. A peaceful, relaxing weekend.

Summary: We had a family trip to Albany and Catamount. We feel so lucky that we found this place. There is everything you need to make yourself feel like at home. The baths are tidy and provide clean towels and shampoo. The kitchen is convenient and has variety of cookware you may need for home-made meals (there is even a rice cooker, surprise!). And fresh eggs are awaiting you in the fridge. My two-year-old son was so happy and literally went wild when he found that huge box of toys prepared for him in the cellar. Although it is winter time, the view is gorgeous. You can clearly see the sky filled with stars at night. We mistakenly took the keys of the property and left our own keys in there when we left, but Tim was so kind and helped us mail them back timely. We definitely would like to come back again! We love this place!
