Relax and take in the beautiful sunsets at Four Leaf Cottages nestled right in the heart of lake country. This is the ultimate family gathering getaway or couples retreat with three private cottages and one apartment. Your reservation comes with ALL the cottages and apartment – this is not a resort, but one property with 4 separate areas for sleeping and one common space!
You’ll find everything you need to make it a great vacation. The kitchen has everything needed to cook a delicious meal (minus the food), gas and charcoal grills, floaties, pull behind tubes, large floating mat, 4 bikes, bean bag lawn game, 2 kayaks, a foosball table, ping pong table, board games, sand toys and more!
West Leaf Lake is a beautiful lake perfect for swimming, water sports, fishing exploring. Take a short boat ride to the sand bar. Explore the stream that connects Middle Leaf Lake and West Leaf Lake (where lots of fish can be caught too!). This lake is known for some of the best pan-fishing in all of Otter Tail County, plus you can also snag plenty of Walleye and Northern Pike too.
Spend your nights around a cozy campfire with beautiful views overlooking the lake. This is the perfect way to unwind and relax after a busy day in the Otter Tail Lakes Area.
The cabins are tucked in just feet from the lake with beautiful majestic burr oak trees that canopy the cottages. Hop on one of the bikes for a long ride or take a stroll down the quiet rural road and relax with the scenic views. The cottages are just minutes from the boat launch on West Leaf Lake. We have a dock available for you to leave your boat at.
Four Leaf Cottages is smack in the middle of Deer Creek, Henning and the town of Otter Tail. If you don’t mind a short drive, Battle Lake and Perham are about 20 miles away. Golf, shopping, cideries, live music, festivals, air shows and adventure are merely miles away for perfect summer getaway at Four Leaf Cottages.
The main cabin (known as Big Leaf Cottage) has one bedroom with a queen bed, one bathroom (including bathtub and shower), huge living space and spacious kitchen. The second cabin (known as Middle Leaf Cottage) has a big room with a queen bed and a bunk bed - full on bottom and twin on top, a front porch, and a bathroom (including a shower). The third cabin (known as Little Leaf Cottage) has a full-size bed with a toilet and sink sectioned off behind a curtained area. The apartment above the garage is the fourth sleeping area (known as Upper Leaf) and has two full-size beds. One nightly fee gets you access to all 4 buildings.

Summary: We enjoyed our time at the property. So many activities and we loved being that close to the lake. The Lily Pad was a hit with the youngsters. Communication was awesome.

Summary: Our stay at Four Leaf Cottages was great! We were traveling for business and this was the ideal way to relax after a long day. We did some fishing, played poker, and enjoyed some beautiful evenings out on the deck. Four Leaf Cottages provided the perfect spot to enjoy our time away from home.

Summary: Melissa was so quick to respond to questions I had beforehand (and I had a lot!) as we had not stayed there before and I wanted to make sure I communicated everything to our group. She got back immediately with answers and when we got there it was easy to access the house and other units. The space fit our group perfectly. The pontoon got us to the sandbar for swimming and we had a great time there. The only negative was that there wasn’t WiFi for 3 of us that needed it for work, plus we couldn’t use the smart TVs. Our coffeemaker wasn’t working and they brought another one over right away, so that was much appreciated! The neighborhood was quiet, we had fun playing games and enjoyed ping pong and football in the garage, cooking on the grill, and we had a great week all together. The space worked very well for our family! Thank you Melissa & Eric!

Summary: It worked well for our family. People enjoyed having their own cabin and the main cabin and deck gave us plenty of room for gatherings. The lakeside yard was great for games. We had a fun stay!

Summary: The lake was beautiful and the hosts were amazing!! There was a plumbing issue and they got a plumber out there immediately along with themselves to help. Quick communication and very friendly! We enjoyed the pontoon, kayaks, and just the beauty of the area. The different cabins were perfect for our family!

Summary: Super neat property with gorgeous views just a few feet from the lake. Great location, quiet, and private. As soon as we arrived the kids thought this was the coolest place ever! The kids loved having their own cabin, playing on the lily pad behind the boat, catching bass, getting to play bean bags, ping pong and foosball, and making s’mores. Meals were easy with a full kitchen and lots of seating inside and out on the oversized deck in the shade. Lots of room for friends to sleep with 3 cabins and a sweet room above the garage. A/C was cold and efficient even on the 90 degree days! Boat landing is close by which made loading and unloading the boat really simple. Not having to bring tubes and bikes (which are provided) was super helpful as well - just one less thing to have to pack! We had a great weekend on the water and look forward to returning next year.

Summary: What a way to kick off summer. This cabin (or should I say cabins) was perfect! Everything we needed from essentials to extras. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans and so much more to make full meals + very clean! The furniture must be brand new which was great and the bed was super comfortable. The deck is HUGE and the dock area was so fun to hang out on - they have a Lilypad to use which my daughter spent most of her time on. The fact that there are 2 additional cabins plus an apartment-style space above the garage on the property is so cool! Next time we will be bringing our friends! We also spent some time in the city of Ottertail and the food, shopping, and lake were so fun to explore. We will be back and highly recommend this for small and large groups.

Summary: This is a cute property with everything we needed for a relaxing few days at the lake. We didn’t use the bikes, lily pad or water toys, but they’re available. We did play ping pong, foosball, brought our boat and caught enough fish for a meal. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the deck is perfect for gazing out at the lake. If you want a relaxing vacation, this is the place for you!
