You will love this renovated and charming cabin located on Lake Siesta. Situated in a quiet neighborhood outside of La Grange, enjoy the cabin surrounded by pines with access to the lake. Bring your own fishing poles and enjoy catching perch and bass (catch and release). Guests have access to a Jon boat. The outdoor charcoal grill can be used, but guests must bring charcoal. Swimming is NOT recommended in this lake. Our cabin is pet-friendly!
The cedar cabin is full of character with live edge cedar gable trusses and 2 porches, one overlooking the dock on the beautiful small lake within the Clear Lake Pines community. The lake is stocked with bass to catch and release. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy watching the deer in the morning. Or, if you prefer, relax in the hammock or around the custom Texas-shaped table to take in the fresh air. You can also take the Jon boat or paddleboat out to fish. After enjoying a morning of wildlife watching and fishing, set out to explore Buescher State Park (15 minutes away) or Bastrop (25 minutes). There are many fun things to explore including the Depot in Winchester, the historic Murphy Steakhouse, or take a trip to Round Top (30 minutes). The starry skies at night will remind you that you can escape the city lights and still be less than 2 hours to both Houston and Austin. And who can resist the s'mores around your personal fire pit as you share stories & make family memories! Please note that our wifi is slower due to our rural location!
WIFI- we are located in a very rural setting. Our internet is NOT always reliable but is provided!
PET POLICY:
ALL pets must be verified with the property manager!
Pet Fee: $50/pet for the entire stay.
Rules:
No pets on the furniture.
No pets to be left unattended.
No using bowls from the kitchen for your pet.
Clean up after your pet. Inside and OUT!
Pets MUST be crated at night.
If an unreported pet is found to be staying in a property OR a violation of these rules, you will be charged $200.00 and asked to leave without a refund.
SAFETY AND PRECAUTIONS:
Since the property is located in a country setting, we have bugs and critters. We have the house sprayed regularly but they will find their way in occasionally. Always keep the door tightly closed at all times to keep the bugs out. To limit your exposure to snakes, please inform all occupants to stay on pathways and use a flashlight when walking at night.
Swimming or diving is not allowed in the lake.
Guests are FULLY and SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for any accident, personal injury, or bodily harm arising during their stay, so we encourage you to be watchful, extra careful and to be diligent.

Summary: The cabin was perfect for us. In the mornings we would sit out on the back porch with coffee and be surrounded by nature. We had three deer sightings and it was so peaceful. The cabin is newly remodeled had everything we needed to be comfortable and relax. It was an also great location to go antique shopping in RoundTop and LaGrange. The host was gracious and easily available. We would stay there again in the future.

Summary: Rustic Lake Cabin is very charming and cozy with a spacious living room and kitchen, and the interior cedar walls and rafters are beautiful. The lake and wildlife viewing (tame deer, cute raccoons, blue heron) was delightful, and the gorgeous trees everywhere made for a fairy tale setting. The hosts are very gracious and attentive, and we look forward to spending more time in this special lakefront cabin, in the forest.

Summary: A quick weekend trip at this cabin was an absolute amazing place. Love the wood of the interior design of the cabin. Very cozy and comfortable. House provided everything you needed for a quick stay. Only minor but wasn’t a big deal was the water very low and we could get the paddle boat out but we did get to see deers walking around. Thanks to the property management for replying back with a timely response on all the questions we needed to stay there. Overall it’s was a great stay!!!

Summary: We were looking for a place that was out of the city, and that would be quiet and relaxing, and this was it! Cabin was beautifully decorated and really enjoyed fishing and watching the wild dear come to the water to drink.

Summary: The cabin and the location was wonderful! The cabin was so comfortable and perfect for relaxing with family. The nice backporch, chairs along the bank of the lake, the little dock and pattleboat were wonderful too. Wish we could have used the fire pit down by the lake, but it was just too hot at night. The AC units in the cabin worked out perfectly despite the 100 degree weather outside. And the nice shaded backporch was enjoyed from early morning drinking coffee, and for watching dragonflies and birds to sitting out in the evening hearing soothing sounds of frogs and crickets. Wish we had more time to stay longer.

Summary: I would just clean the windows and get the cobwebs off. There was quite a bit. I also would clean up the grounds a bit. Other than that, it's a lovely place, We enjoyed it.

Summary: A perfect getaway in the middle of nowhere. The interior has been tastefully updated with the guest in mind. The main bed was comfortable and has an on suite. The dining room table was not only beautiful but a nice place the enjoy meals. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook your meals. Everything here has been adequately thought of and bath sheets to boot! Not a single thing was left out at this beatiful cabin. Quiet neighbors, a nice grill to cook your meals on, a dock to fish from and adequate seating outdoors. A great getaway for families or couples looking to reconnect. Would stay here again.
