Summary: Let’s start with the good. Lovely neighborhood and location. Everything was very clean as well which was nice. However the beds were the worst nights sleep I’ve had in years. We both ended up sleeping on the couch bc the beds hurt our backs badly after one night. They are 1/2 inch old spring mattresses with no box springs. So if you’re cool with spending all this money but suffering through the night go for it. We left one night early bc the beds were that bad. Also the tv is one of the original smart tvs from 8 years ago, so no apps work. Literally none.

Summary: Had a 4 night 3+ day stay in Monrovia and wouldn't you know it - it rained over 2 of the days. We went to the Holocaust Exhibit at the Reagan Museum. Both a must see. Took in the Diamond District in downtown LA in the rain - VERY interesting. (Don't miss the restaurants in the alley!). Monrovia a delightful town (even in the rain). Many restaurants near to enjoy and VON's within walking distance. Walked the Melrose Shopping area (not to be advised). Drove around the Rose Bowl which was very nice. Since it rained so much we would have appreciated a rug inside the entry door to our VRBO. We cleaned up our arrival mess as best we could. VRBO was the main floor of an old, quaint house but was near to what we wanted and yet away from main LA. Any communication with property manager was addressed within minutes.

Summary: Clean, as described & host is a very good communicator. We were here for the Rose Parade in Pasadena, and it was an ideal spot. Close enough, and the 210 freeway is not overcrowded. Monrovia was a delight, with great restaurants in walking distance.

Summary: We were visiting friends who lived in a nearby neighborhood, and it was very convenient. Property was clean, but the floor could use more regular wet mopping and the shower handle needs to be replaced or repaired (it worked, but it was so loose it was difficult to control the water temp). We had what we needed and we enjoyed our stay. Also a plus: The taco stand directly across the street, La Nori, was EXCELLENT. For real. And there's a Von's grocery a block away, so easy shopping. I would definitely stay here again when we come back.

Summary: What a great stay in Monrovia! Unit is tucked away behind a retail storefront, but once inside you wouldn’t know the difference. Parking was onsite and easy to get in and out of. Living space was spacious as was both bedrooms. Kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. Bathroom was stocked with towels. The “step down” mentioned in other reviews was not a problem once you knew it was there. Host was quick to respond to our need for additional washcloths. In fact, she showed up within 20 minutes of my request. Would suggest a carpet at the entry way. We happened to catch a rainy few days in Southern California which made the floor sloppy and slippery. Host was very kind to our request for a late checkout due to the fact we were in Pasadena for the Tournament of Roses parade and not sure how long it would take to get back. House was convenient to Old Town, however we were not able to take advantage of that due to the all day rain the one day we had planned to shop. Only negative was the charge for additional people over 2. If unit sleeps 4 you shouldn’t have to pay for a 3rd person. I could see if you had 5 or 6 people. We were already paying for a 2 bedroom unit and had to pay $15 a night more for a 3rd person. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for travel to Pasadena. Train station is only a few minutes away and then only a 15 ride into Pasadena.

Summary: My parents and brother stayed here over the Thanksgiving break. It's really near downtown Monrovia and super convenient off Foothill. I live in the Pasadena area and I thought this was good value compared to many hotels and rentals.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Foothills Villa. There was plenty of space for my wife and I. The bedrooms and living space were comfortable. Great location, very close to the old downtown area and quite walkable. Monrovia is a nice city to stay in.
