Summary: On the plus side, it is in a nice location with beautiful views and conveniently located near the Pocono ski resorts. There is a good amount of space, and the living room and dining room areas are very nice. The property was not as advertised: The pictures in the listing are very deceptive being taken over a period of years before and after renovations. It's very hard to know what you're renting, and was not as it appeared in the pictures. The property is in need of major upkeep: The kitchen is terrible. The cabinet-front under the sink is missing and the space under the sink is dirty and disgusting. The microwave over the stove is broken. There are parts for a food processor, but no food processor. The kitchen is not well stocked with many very basic kitchen items not available (measuring cups and spoons, dish towels, baking sheets, serving bowls (i think there's one), etc.) The items that are there are dirty, greasy, mismatched, and strewn seemingly at random in the cabinets with no rhyme or reason. The pool table is broken and dangerous. Two of the legs fell off when someone leaned on it, and it was obvious upon inspection that it was a) never a decent pool table to start with (made entirely of particle board), and b) had been broken many times before and was barely put back together. We're lucky that nobody got hurt when the legs came off. It was completely unusable. The downstairs TV didn't work. It was stuck on an Amazon Prime screen and we couldn't get it to display anything else despite several tech-savvy people trying. The slider to the upstairs deck is broken, and can't be opened. Many of the slats on the deck stairwell are unattached at the bottom and are just dangling there with rusty screws exposed. I could go on, but I won't bother. We will not be staying there again and my family and friends were quite disappointed. As my wife said, it's a nice location and the house has "good bones," with a little bit of TLC and some care by the owner it could be a nice place. Unfortunately, it wasn't a nice place for us and our friends this week.

Summary: I sent this list of issues starting with our arrival and ending the day of check out and never received acknowledgement or a response. The house really wasn't cleaned well. Lots of utensils with caked on food. The drawer of the oven with crud and flakes of food over the trays and muffin tin. Oven Mitts are burned and dirty with caked on food. Even the welcome packet binder has crud and food on it. Main fireplace never turned on beyond pilot light. Basement one works fine. Stains on blankets Remote didn't have batteries No detergent for dishwasher The trash passes were not left. Could not find them. Upstairs bedroom cold and without heat (since there is a space heater, I assume they know this, but would be nice to know ahead of time) The windows in the bedroom near the dining room and upstairs could use curtains. Too much visibility from the houses next door, sunlight in the am. The decorative cover is missing for the kitchen sink and the shelves are missing from the freezer. Also the sink in the basement didn't turn on. The vent over the stove (vent fan) does not turn on. The microwave over the stove does not seem to work either. Location was convenient, near a lake.

Summary: Nothing against the owner, who was nice from day one. This place is not being clean. I was very surprised because during a season like this when cleanliness is very important. This house was not being kept clean. To be honest I'm not even sure the house keeper is even showing up often.. The sheets are not being cleaned/ washed, so bring your own. One of the downstairs bed had a big blood spot. Meaning the sheet was not taken off the bed to be washed at all. All bedrooms sheets were clearly not clean. The kitchen utensils dirty. Yes you could tell that someone did some kind of surface cleaning, because the baths were washed, but no effort was made. The contracted stated that two grills were available. Only one works and it took us an hour to get it going because of all the grease and dirt in the holes of grill. This ruined our BBQ and had to use the oven. Our first encounter with the oven waa another story. Smoke everywhere, someone sprayed oven spray and did not clean it off, everyone was coughing. Smell was in the house all weekend. It rained all weekend so we were hoping to enjoy this beautiful house, but when this not being clean is in your head it's hard to let it go. We just made the best out of it, because we were around good company. Advise bring your own cleaning product, we had some. If not there is a dollar store less than 10mins away.

Summary: Will start this review by saying the home and location are great. Really enjoyed the lake and pool which is walking distance to the home. For pool, wrist bands are needed which 8max. are provided with the home and you are unable to purchase more. Home has 8 real bedrooms and a smaller room with a twin bed which accommodated our large group well. Great big deck. Now i do have to add all of the issues we encountered. At arrival we realized that the windows in smaller room near dining area were not working properly and my husbands finger was injured by window falling. On the 3rd day of our stay we had no Hot Water and repair man who came out informed us both propane tanks were empty, owner did replace on same day, however this was an inconvinience for all in the home. Sticks for Pool Table all had broken tips making them unusable and table was slanted. We coildnt use it. Cleanliness of home was very POOR starting with various spider web tangles in bedrooms, there were moldy shower liners and rugs which should be replaced (especially shower liners), we had to buy draino for both bathrooms downstairs to unclog drain on the 1st day. If the owner were to give this home more TLC it will change the experience for the better. Tapestry on dining chairs look very worn and dirty and one of the dining table was very wobbly. Center seat on one of the couches was sunken in as well. Couches should be replaced asap. The cleaning supplies such as mops and sponges need to be replaced for new ones as well. Coffee Makers (one didnt work at all and 2nd one dripped from the back) Various Outlets outside and inside were not working and we observed some outlets had Bees harnesting inside. Main level refrigerator did not chill items that well even after putting in on Coldest, also very little ice produced. Screen on door were also not working properly. I wanted to be as detailed as possible so that hopefully the owner of this property makes these changes so that his future guests do not have these inconviniences. Cleanliness and upkeep needs major improvements after this is given attention to, the home will be a Great place to stay. For cost of home these things shoul have not been issues.

Summary: This is a nice house just a few houses away from the lake. Space for 19 people and kitchen good to cook in. We rented paddle boats for $10/hr and spent time relaxing at the little beach (some beach chairs provided by house) . Nice playground for little kids and basketball courts a short drive away. Downsides are mostly that this place is not truth in advertising! The pool table has no balls and is non functional. The welcome kit states that basics such as toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap are provided but these all ran out in the first half a day! It would have been fine if the welcome kit told us we needed to bring our own. Also, several things in the house are in need of repair: broken window that fell on my head when I tried to open it (in jacuzzi room), broken jacuzzi pieces lying around, broken screen door, broken dressers in two rooms, and the pool table. There may have been other things. Overall we had a great time and appreciated the clean linens and nice location!

Summary: This home could be very nice, but there are many items that need attention, including some of the amenities, the bathrooms, and the beds and bedding. There were not two beds in the loft, there were just two mattresses, which, being said, probably would not fit two beds. It could fit a larger size bed however. The cleaner did come over and repair/fix some things in the house while we were there and she was very attentive, but overall I think this home just needs some TLC and attention paid to it. We did enjoy the location and area and the open rooms and seating the house provides though.

Summary: We had so much fun in your beautiful house if the management keeps the house cleaner and managed that would help to keep people happier. All bathroom are clogged and the kitchen sink is clogged as well as the basement is smelly too!

Summary: We were group of 25 and had total blast during our stay at this property. Property is great, lake is few yards away.....great view during winter. Property is clean and nice, owner is very friendly. We also went skiing at Big Boulder ski which is few miles away. Will be back in summer for Lake beach and summer fun !

Summary: We had best time ever in Poconos at this property. We were group of 20 and all had great time. Big Boulder Skiing is just 3-4 miles from this property. And as there was no tree foliage in the front at this time of the year we could see lake wolf run right from the living room. There is lake beach and kids play area just few feet from this property. It was clean and well kept, owner had provided fresh towels and clean bedsheets. He was nice and friendly ! Will come back for boating and lake beach again this summer.
