Renovated Single Family Home: Walking distance to BEACH and CAPE CHARLES HISTORIC DISTRICT and CENTRAL PARK Our renovated, 1906, Queen Anne Victorian is in the heart of Cape Charles Historic District. Located on a quiet, Crepe Myrtle-lined Street, just two blocks from shops and restaurants on Mason Avenue, a short walk to the Chesapeake Bay/Beach, and just steps from Central Park, Cape Breeze Retreat is a quintessential beach vacation home!
Cape Breeze Retreat is an ideal home for true relaxation. Just park your car for the duration of your stay because you won’t need it! Most vacationers find renting a golf cart the perfect way to navigate and enjoy the quaint town. Others simply prefer walking as everything you need is within a few blocks!
While relaxing from Cape Breeze Retreat’s FRONT PORCH SWING, Rocking Chairs, or dining table on one of the two porches, we recommend that our guests follow our “Porch Rules”:

Outside, there is a large fenced in backyard with a garden, patio set, bench, and a small goldfish pond. An outdoor shower makes it easy to shower your family off after a day at the beach. A new HVAC system will keep you cool and comfortable on even the hottest days!
As one of the larger homes in the district, you will find ample space with modern cottage house décor.
The first floor welcomes you into a large foyer which includes a hand-carved newel post, a bench seat and waiting area. Cape Breeze Retreat offers a large newly renovated, fully stocked kitchen which includes a coffee/tea bar, a new half bathroom, and separate mud and laundry rooms. Beach goers can park their golf cart in the provided “cart” driveway, take a shower or rinse off outside, and enter through the back porch.
A large dining table sits next to a fireplace which seats 8 comfortably with 2 more additional chairs. Adjacent Bar seating accommodates another 4.
Additionally, there is a living room with a large sectional, smart television, games, puzzles, and books for your enjoyment.
On the second floor you will find three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master suite has a large bathroom and a queen-size bed. The second bedroom has a canopy queen-size bed, while the third bedroom has a twin-size bed over a full-size bunkbed with an additional twin over twin bunkbed.
The beautifully illuminated, natural light, third level has 2 more bedrooms and another bathroom. We call this space the “Crow’s Nest”! One room houses two twin beds, while the other has a queen bed, therefore sleeping another 4 people. Additionally, the third floor offers a newly renovated shiplap, lounge space and another television. Two hammock chairs are available to relax in as well! More games, puzzles, and books are available, but more kid-friendly options.
For your convenience, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, and a heavy duty, large-wheel, beach wagon are provided for your use.
Cape Charles has a way of stimulating your senses and capturing your heart. My husband, two children, and I feel in love with the town and its people from our very first visit. We hope that you are as captivated by the charm of this lovely, historic, beach community as we are!

Summary: We are a group of college teammates & friends of 25 years who have stayed in this house 4 years in a row now. We love the house, location and the owner Laura is always so accommodating and easy to reach. The house is fully stocked with everything we could need and more. The house is spacious and well decorated (with our favorite teal!) and the porch and back yard gives us plenty of space to sit around and catch up. We could choose another destination for our ladies weekend but we walk in the door and immediately want to book for the next year. There's something special about Cape Charles and this house. Thank you again for a great stay!

Summary: We enjoyed all aspects of the property, especially the quick response of our hosts to our questions. We lacked for nothing in this well-stocked home! Our only concern was how steep and narrow the stairs to the Crow’s Nest are. This Nana had to be extra careful! It was wonderful to be so near the park for Lovefest!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. Accommodations were very good. There were many things supplied by the owners and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The house is old but had many modern updates. Loved the open kitchen/dining area. The living area was a little small but we enjoyed the closeness. Great location, close to the beach, park and downtown. The hosts were easy to reach and even checked on us before and after we arrived.

Summary: Nice renovated Victorian style house very convenient to town and beach. Wish it would have come with a golf cart as this seemed like a fun mode of transportation for our vacation. Didn't realize you have to make golf cart reservations ahead of time. Loved th and back porches and garden like yard. Steps to the third floor were steep and treacherous! Also, bedrooms on third floor were quite small with sloping roof line . All in all, house was a nice beach time for our family.and

Summary: This home (and its way more than a house) is the most well stocked home I have ever rented. You feel the love there.We actually played a game to see if there was a basic home item that we needed that we couldn’t find. Even a roll of tape was magically there when my granddaughter accidentally tore a page from her book and was devastated. The kitchen dining area was a big group’s dream. Bathrooms were beautifully updated. Extra pillows, blankets in sleeping areas. Great laundry area with wonderful beach towels and plenty of food storage space.could go on & on. The backyard was definitely another bonus! We watched the fish and the frogs in the koi pond from the perfect little viewing platform. At night, the fountain and the lighting made for a great adult getaway. The golf cart parking and charging space-perfection! It’s impossible to cover it all but just know, this house is as close to perfection for a large group as I have ever found. I will close with my dealings with the owner. Concerned, caring, and very responsive. I wish they offered more stars for this rating.
