Downtown Historic District House | 💲Renovated Guesthouse💲4 KING Bedrooms - Downtown 2 Block Stroll- Beach Only 3 Miles

4 Bedroom House in Downtown Historic District, Saint Augustine

Great Downtown Location only half mile stroll to St George Street, the center of the Historic District, yet only 3 Miles to Vilano Beach or 5 to St Augustine Beach Pier. We provide Boogie Boards, Beach Towels and Chairs. It is really the "Best of Both Worlds". This 2017 Remodel Guesthouse combines the Old World charm of Heart of Pine Floors & Claw Foot Tub with the NEW look of Marble and Glass. Designed to be a versatile space you can rent the entire Guesthouse, shown here, or just the top or just the bottom. Renting the Guesthouse with both floors gives you 2 Kitchens, 2 Greatroom, 2 Laundries and 2 Outdoor Dining spaces. 4 King Bedrooms & 2 Queen Sleepers + 2 Singles & 3.5 Baths. It comfortably Sleeps 14 to allow you to come together and create lasting memories. Pet Friendly with a 125 Non-Refundable Pet Fee. And if you need more space you can rent the 3 BD 3 BA Main House in front or one of my other 4 Downtown Homes less than 2 blocks away.Check out these and my direct Oceanfront homes at the links below.
UPSTAIRS PALM VIEW - 3 Bedroom 2 Bath - Included (To rent separately see https://www.vrbo.com/4646734ha?dateless=true)
It all centers around the Greatroom and the Kitchen. The Great room with Large Smart TV (3 TVs in all) has plenty of seating with a Leather Queen Sleeper Sofa + Love Seat & 2 Swivel Chairs. It features a unique 2 Headed Revolving Fan you will love and gorgeous original gray hand stained Heart Of Pine Floors.
The Kitchen is Open Style with cooking and Dining in one space. The Kitchen is from my old Homestead in Tennessee. The cabinets are Poplar. They were originally built over 50 years ago and even at that time the wood was antique. Supposedly these Poplars died out long ago and you cannot buy the wood any more. My Father found it when they were tearing down an old Elementary School in my home town of Shelbyville Tennessee (Walking Horse Capital of the World if you have heard of us). I always loved them as a child. So when I heard they were tearing down my homestead I had to save them. I have spent hours restoring them. I hope you will appreciate them and an Old Farm Sink which I salvaged. The is a New SOAP STONE Counter Island for extra seating and a Handmade Butcher Block Coffee Bar. New Stainless Appliances. Lovingly White Washed Pine Ceiling. Unique Dining Table with Lazy Susan + another Revolving Fan.
There are 3 Bedrooms. All with King Beds with Smart TVs and Fee Wifi.
The Master with Private Bath was originally a Sleeping Porch. I enclosed it, raised it and added Light Pine Floors. It has a King Bed + a Fold-down Sofa for extra Sleeping or relaxing. The Bath is all Marble Floors and Glass. I fell in love with the Spa Glass Doors and used them to the Bath and Closet and carried the Glass look into the Shower with floor to ceiling Subway Glass Tiles. The Vanity is Marble topped with unique retro Faucet. There is large Marble floor Closet with room for a Pack-N-Play, available upon request.
Bedroom 2 has a similar walk in closet and shares a bath with Bedroom 3. Both have King Beds! I have learned what you want. (I agree after one night on a King it is hard to go back).
The Bath has the "Original" Claw Foot Tub stamped with a 1919 date. We added a shower option for your convenience but let me suggest you try a bubble bath. My Husband and I only do "Tubs". Try it. This is the time to relax. You are on vacation!
My sons favorite is the ceiling Night Light/Fan in the Bath. It blue tooth's to your phone so you can play your music (if you can figure it out. I provide instructions in the Move-in but that does not always help. Need a Millennial). My Husband loves the "Blue" Night Light. I like the Marble Floors & Bead board walls.
There is a Laundry on the first floor with Linens & Towels provided.
Outside is a private Paver Patio with Dining and romantic String Lights overhead. The Grill that can go Gas (provided) or Charcoal.
1ST FLOOR SECRET GARDEN - 1 Bedroom 1.5 Bath - Included - (To rent separately see https://www.vrbo.com/4647397ha?dateless=true)
The 1st Floor has a totally different look. The floors are beautiful White Marble throughout. It includes a second Greatroom with Smart TV and Queen Sleeper Sofa. Fully stocked Kitchen made from the same Tennessee Poplar. A Second Laundry.
There is a Half Bath in the Greatroom for Guests and a Huge Master Bedroom with Private Marble Bath, of course a King Bed plus a roll-out Single Trundle. Great for a "Little One". There is also a giant Walk-in Closet with room for Pack N Play. You will recognize my beloved Glass Spa Doors like upstairs and this time a Marble & Glass Shower with removable Hand-Held Shower Head. The Vanity is Marble with Twin Sinks and loads of hooks.
A frosted mural glass door off the Master leads to a private "Secret Garden" with a second Grill and Covered Dining area so you will have 2 private Outdoor spaces to enjoy. Plenty of room for everyone.
PARKING
There are 3 dedicated Parking spot in the Alley and unlimited parking on Lemon with a lit paver sidewalk beside the Main Home leading back to the Guesthouse.
LOCATION
We are located Downtown at 67 1/2 Lemon St only 5 miles to my favorite beach called St Augustine Beach just south of Anastasia Park over the Bridge of Lions. Their is lots of parking & public restrooms + amazing Restaurants. There is a great Farmer Market on Wednesdays and in the Summer even FREE Wednesday night outdoor concerts. The sand is perfect for building Sand Castles. The waves are great for Surfing. We provide Boogie Boards or you can rent Surf Boards and take lessons or rent bikes at A Street. Towels and Beach Chairs provided.
But you will find so much to do Downtown you will probably only go to the Beach the first day. Downtown is a world all its own. Simply Charming. Especially at night with the lights twinkling and the sound of music filling the streets. Great Restaurants. Great History. Great People. All walking distance from your door. What more do you want? Call for my list of Recommended THINGS TO DO and RESTAURANTS.

What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Apr 25, 2025 04:02:37 AM
Summary: We enjoyed our stay here. Linda gave good directions ahead of time with a list of great restaurants and things to do in St. Augustine for our stay. The parking is a little tight if you have more than 3 cars but it worked for us just fine. The King beds were all very comfortable. The pull out couches were typical for comfort but they were doable. The bathrooms were good too. The one with the clawfoot tub was a little tight while showering due to the curtain but it is not an real issue. The kitchens had everything you need for making food and coffee. The upstairs flooring is a little uneven and slanty in a few spots but adds to the charm of the place. There is a nice outdoor space for sitting and relaxing that is covered off the downstairs unit. It is also walkable to the fort, St George Street and Distillery within 10-15 minutes and driving 5 minutes. It's a very nice and quite area.

Summary: It is an older house divided into two separate apartments. We used both spaces. The house has some natural wear and tear such as the garage disposal that roars like a dragon but the beds were so comfortable and the place was cozy and warm which we enjoyed in contrast to weather outside. I would highly recommend this property to others. We were minutes away from the downtown area

Summary: Our book club normally meets virtually, but once a year, we meet in person to just hang out, see some sites, and spend time together. We look for places to stay that will accommodate 8 people that is within walkable distance to sites, shops, and restaurants. The location of this property did not disappoint. Prior to our arrival, the host reached out and provided check in procedures (basically a key code to the doors, which is tricky because the key pad doesn’t “read” the first number punched in, but the host’s hubby happened by when we were trying to get in and gave us a hand). We rented both guest houses, which meant a weird walk-through a very narrow broom closet to get to the other side, but it was fine. Pros: Location. It’s close to all the sites, but not so close that you can hear city-life throughout the night. The number of beds and bathrooms is nice. The host’s explanation of things to do and her explanation of how to access the property. Bonus: Some of our party arrived early and the host allowed slightly early access since it was already cleaned. King-sized beds allowed for space for sleeping when sharing a room. Cons: The kitchen area is small in one house and the location of the couch, adjacent to the kitchen, puts your back to those eating in the kitchen. You have to be willing to share a bed if you have more than 4 people. There are some electrical issues that are concerning. Overall, we had a great time & were glad we stayed at Lemon House.

Summary: We rented the entire Lemon Guest house for our daughter's wedding at the Lightner Museum. Location is a bit of a walk to most of the downtown spots (about 10-15 minutes). Everything with the property was as described. Parking was a bit tricky, but we were able to squeeze in 4 vehicles. I would definitely recommend this property.
