Positive: It was clean, the bed was comfortable enough and the location was central.
Negative: The owner/manager is rude and misguided. My wife and I were attending a good friend's wedding, after getting married ourselves a few months ago, so we just wanted somewhere to rest our heads and get ready in comfort. Here's the message I received after leaving - unprovoked - without me complaining at all about the poor nature of the bathroom: "You could at least have put the towels on the floor to mop the water of the bathroom" I have been an apartment cleaner myself before, and I have stayed in probably over 400 hostels, hotels, apartments in the 42 years of my life so far - and i have never received quite such a message after leaving as this person sent to my wife and I. As a result I would strongly advise against staying there, as you'll not be able to rely on them being decent nor reasonable (and they certainly won't have fixed the shower / bathroom). Why? The bathroom area is poor, for two principal reasons: 1. The shower head doesn't stay up, so you are forced to hold it in your hand whilst trying to shower - obviously challenging when you're trying to wash your hair, and just generally wash properly 2. The conversion of the loft/attic space our apartment was in was done poorly, which meant the bathroom wasn't designed like bathrooms usually are (you know, with wet room drainage, run off etc not any sort of shower cubicle in the absence of this) and so appliances were simply positioned poorly. The shower head was just in the corner of the room with two curtains to complete the enclosure. All in all a TERRIBLE shower/washing experience which is one of the only experiences you actually care about, and - consequently - a poor overall experience because there is then water EVERYWHERE in the bathroom Why am I livid? There is no way someone renting out that converted loft doesn't know this limitation - and particularly the lack of shower head staying up & water running across the room.
