Summary: The staff are very helpful. I wish I knew about the 5 th floor pool and bar before my last day. The food and drinks on the 5 th floor were great! Don’t eat at Hemmingway Restaurant. They served rubbery Mahi. My husband sent it back with no improvement. They proceeded to lecture us that we didn’t know Mahi. No offer for another dish or take anything off the bill. Worst service and customer service ever. All of the other restaurants were very good. I did book a partial ocean view with a king bed but none available so ended up with marina view and 2 queen beds for our anniversary get away. Not what I planned but we made it work. Very relaxing getaway.

Summary: Overall, it’s a pretty good resort. Unfortunately the staff was not very helpful. We did not receive our complementary welcome drink and when we asked about it, everyone seemed confused and said they don’t know if they are giving them out. We had to wait until after 6 PM for our room to be available, as well, we did see other people get their room keys much earlier. The restaurants on site weren’t the best we did like the restaurant in the casino. The Bellman was very helpful with our luggage, as well as Jahnell at the front desk and the gentleman called big papa. Overall decent experience.

Summary: The rooms were clean which is a very big priority for me . Most of the staff and a not friendly. My biggest issue was the breakfast buffet at The Tides . #1 the buffet assortment is very basic #2 we waited 45min for an omelette due to the staff not being prepared , even though the restaurant was open the staff member at the omelette station was not prepared nor in a hurry to start services . For the price of a basic buffet I would at least expect better service . Not everyone was unfriendly but the majority were .

Summary: This hotel has amazing potential if the owners just kept the place up. Decor was the same as it was 7 years ago. Hallway carpet needs replaced, trim dusted etc. The rooms are very nice but our entry door was haggard. Our keys didn't work so had to go all the way back to the front desk, quite a trek. Wanted to do a swim on rooftop bar after dinner about 9:30. It was closed sadly. Dinner was very good at Tides! Wait staff was excellent!

Summary: The room was clean… staff was fine, they did their job. No one was super friendly or gave you that hospitable island vacation vibe… drinks were terrible at the pool bar as well as the casino drinks we tired on the menu there. We were supposed to be able to check in at 4, we couldn’t check in until the 5:30 then we asked for a late checkout which they said they could not do and we understood that was fine but then they tried to come in our room 10 minutes before 11 while we were still finishing getting our stuff together. We felt rushed out after it didn’t seem like they were in any rush to get the people in our room out before considering we couldn’t check in on time. We spent most of our time at Bimini big game because it was much better environment and left the property. Every second we could the room was nice. The view was good, but the hotel itself was terrible.

Summary: Obviously this is the only resort on the island so you are stuck with this. The property was good however, the hotel has a sewage problem and you can smell the sewage in your shower on a busy weekend. I asked the front desk about this and they said it was normal to happen Prices at this resort are absolutely ridiculous. I ordered 2 drinks at the pool bar (one vodka and tonic and one margarita and the cost was $77 plus a 15.40 room charge and a 7.70 additional room charge on top of a 45 dollar a day resort fee. Folks that was $100.10 for 2 drinks! Also, beware, if you order an iced tee it is $7 for a 8 ounce glass with NO REFILLS! Good luck!!!!
