Positive: The hotel’s location was great, and the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. The grounds were large and beautiful. We visited at the end of October, and there weren’t many people, so there were enough sunbeds for everyone, the place wasn’t crowded, and the staff managed everything perfectly. The hotel has its own beach with sun loungers. A bottle of water was provided with every meal. The bar served delicious cocktails. There’s also table tennis and free parking available.
Negative: The snack bar was quite small and didn’t have much to eat — mostly sandwiches with sausage, fish, or vegetarian options, but the bread wasn’t very fresh. There were few fresh vegetables in the restaurant. The food itself was tasty, but too greasy for my liking. At breakfast, they fried eggs with a lot of oil. In the room, you could hear everything from the corridor.

Positive: Loved the service and amazing pool! The buffet breakfast and dinner were also incredible.
Summary: We had a lovely time vacationing at Rethymno Palace. The staff were super attentive and the facilities were great.

Positive: Location was superb, right on the beach, waking up to the waves each morning. The staff were always friendly and really helpful with any questions or issues we had. Food was delicious and plentiful during meal times. Our whole experience was super relaxing and exactly what we needed.
Negative: Little things like having to pay a cash deposit at the spa for towels for the pool. No snacks being available between 16:30-18:30 (which is a problem if you had an early lunch or came back from a day trip) nor any food being available after 21:30. Having a dress code but not enforcing it, either have one or don’t, but we made the effort to comply and bring with appropriate clothes, while other guests showed up in flip flops and shorts etc. Need more plant-based protein options to add variety in the buffet. These are little things, that keep us from giving 10/10.
Summary: Amazing, relaxing, the perfect getaway break, worth every penny.
