Positive: Riad Aloes is a stunning property in the heart of Marrakech. It was our sanctuary of peaceful bliss when we needed a break from the busy medina. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Madame Anne and her team help ensure that your stay with them is smooth and comfortable. Our shuttle transfer from the airport was arranged and we were accompanied straight to the door of the Riad. Mohammed (night shift) then welcomed us and we were checked in and served a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner. Every morning Saadia and Aïda prepared a fantastic breakfast spread of omelette, bread, yogurt, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee on the beautiful terrace while the morning birds chirped away and we looked across the roof tops of Marrakech. We could even see views of the Atlas Mountains from the terrace. There is also a spa onsite and we indulged in the 30 min Hammam and 30 min massage for two people which was one of the biggest highlights of the trip as we felt totally rejuvenated afterwards as the two massage therapists were fantastic. Mohammed (night shift) then arranged a return shuttle service to the airport for us for our last day. Mohammed (day shift) then checked us out the next day and kept our bags at the Riad while we did a final bit of exploring and assured us that we could return at any time before our shuttle to relax and use the facilities of the Riad. All of the staff at Riad Aloes made us feel right at home and we cannot thank them enough!

Positive: The staff were helpful. The receptionist organized a person to carry my suitcase through the Medina to the Koutoubia to catch a cab. There are no cars allowed which I didn’t know. It doesn’t say that on the website.
Negative: Even though the room was not small, it was rather dark. It definitely has seen better days. It really wasn’t the kind of Riad I had expected it to be. It was located in a back alley, very narrow and filthy. The shower of the bathroom was old and not very clean. The tiles looked crabby. Also they don’t give you a key, just a padlock for the room door. Imagine there is a fire. The steps are also very steep and one could slip easily.

Positive: It was very calming with friendly and helpful staff. The bathroom was nice and the sun terrace was peaceful.
Negative: Given the nature of the property the rooms are quite dark/don’t get much natural light. Limited options at breakfast but the food provided was good.

Positive: Breakfast was lovely each day they make it a-bit different what I loved. Housekeeping girls are wonderful and my room was just sparkly clean all the time. The spa pool is heated to the perfect temperature that was in a beautiful courtyard with plants and incense sticks burning all the time with dried flowers placed it was just amazing and so so beautiful. And I would like to say a massive Thankyou to Mohammed that looks after the riad he is so kind and helpful and made me feel safe as a solo traveler he is honestly a lovely genuine man. He made sure everything was perfect for me and helped me print off my boarding pass for me to make sure i was okay getting home as you can’t use digital passes at the airport. Thank you to all staff my stay was magical.

Positive: We loved our stay at Riad Aloes! The room was big enough for us two, the water pressure in the shower was nice, the breakfast was great and the team was most wonderful. The location is perfect to dive into the medina, without arriving in the middle of it (be prepared though to walk a few minutes from the car to the riad). Thank you for providing us with a wonderful stay! We really wanted to book this Riad again for the end of our travels, but sadly they are booked out. Total recommendation!
