Positive: We stayed at Riad Mtamer in Tetouan for four nights and had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ridwan, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. One of the highlights was when he invited us to a special music night featuring traditional Gnawa music – the atmosphere was electric. We met so many friendly young people from Tetouan there, and they were all eager to show us around their city, which made our experience even more special. Mounia took great care of us in the mornings, serving fresh and delicious breakfasts with coffee, mint tea, eggs, cheese, and bread with honey and jam. Everything was beautifully prepared and felt very homely. The riad itself is stunning, full of traditional Moroccan character with its decorative tiling and an indoor water feature that’s part of the old Skoundo water network. The terrace upstairs is a lovely quiet spot to relax and watch the stars at night. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, with plenty of bedding and cushions. Towels were provided, and the communal shower had reliable hot water – something we really appreciated after staying in other places that didn’t! It’s quite easy to find using Google Maps, but definitely follow the directions carefully and walk slowly through the medina so you don’t get lost. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay at Riad Mtamer. The people, the atmosphere, and the beautiful architecture made it one of the most memorable parts of our trip. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tetouan

Positive: Beautiful buinding. Great staff. Perfect location. The hostel has two buidings in proximity to one another. One of them appears to be more alive and social than the other one.
Negative: Was a bit tricky to unsderstand where the hostel is, as there is zero signage so I needed a passer by to help me identify the place. The shared bathroom was at the floor below my room, which can make it tricky to use when half asleep in the middle of the night. It was tricky to keep the window open in my room to have airflow, as it closes on its own. I used a scarf to tie the window so it remains open.

Positive: room was big, we got one of the bigger ones - huge ceilings - location not bad not great friendly staff
Negative: Shower floor was flooded when we got there - so we didnt use the shower - kind of a turn off. Breakfast so-so- tasteless omelet, tea bread.
