Positive: Outstanding property, well-designed, with high quality furnishings and good-sized rooms. Great location inside the very busy Medina but completely quiet once inside. Only a short walk to the road where taxis waited.
Negative: The housekeeper prepared the breakfast and then made the beds and tidied up, as was expected and done well. However she then stayed in the property all morning, sometimes until 1pm! This is very unusual for a self-catering place and we felt it was an infringement on our privacy - when the details stated "you have the whole property to yourself", this is what we expected and not to share with a staff member every morning! In addition she had a habit of re-arranging things in the summer kitchen upstairs that we used every day - a little annoying, this should have been our area not hers! Worse than annoying was when she dismantled the coffee machine, presumably to wash it, and then didn't re-assemble it, so we had to try and figure out how to put it back - not easy! The rooftop summer kitchen wasn't well-equipped - we had to borrow a sieve and a sharp knife, and there weren't enough cooking pans. On the final day the housekeeper presented us with a bill for the coffee capsules we had used - 150 dirhams each. These were in the summer kitchen when we arrived and we weren't informed we would have to pay for them - usually anything that's in the kitchen on arrival we assume to be for the guests (free) use! She had obviously been counting what we used (by going through our bin?) which again feels intrusive. And it was lucky we still had some dirhams left as we running them down as were leaving the country that morning.

Negative: We got harassed by a man on our first day there around the area by the suks(markets nearby) he then started pointing finger guns at us and pretending to show us and threatening us. He pretended to be working at one of the travel experience places there. He started of nice ish offering to show us where something was then kept following us everywhere when we were trying to get away. When we completely ignored him he started threatening us and getting more aggressive and wouldn't leave us alone still asking for money at the end till he finally did after we started running away and managed to lose him. If you stay here don't let anyone offer to guide you or direct you anywhere , especially if youre just girls google maps is the best option unless there is another local woman there that does seem trustworthy. Apart from that our stay itself was really good.

Positive: Fantastic stay, breakfast was delicious, different every day, fresh squeezed orange juice was the highlight. We had ordered a meal for dinner, very good! The Riad is stunning and very roomy, privacy for all rooms. Mohammed who greeted us was very welcoming and helpful. The lovely lady that prepared us food was also great!
Negative: We had organized a taxi pick up with the Riad beforehand, and there was one one there at the aeroport when we arrived. The transport was late, we waited over 30 minutes. Should we had a message or call from host to inform us that the driver is late, it would have reassured us. Instead we spent over 100euros, trying to reach the host by telephone, messaging etc, in a country where our mobile service cost 3euro per M..

Positive: The Riad is spacious, very comfortable, and has a tasteful & unique interior design. It’s located on the edge of the Medina and is close to a number of great restaurants. Plus it’s easy to get a taxi when needing to go further afield. The hosts Niza and Mohamed were wonderful and extremely helpful! We hope to return.
