Positive: Everything. This was one of the rare occasions where everything was perfect. The riad is beautifully designed and furnished, everything like a/c and hot water works well, it is right in the middle of the old town but quiet at night, the staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is good. I can highly recommend this place, and if I go back to Fes I will stay here again.

Positive: A fellow guest commented "this is just like being at home". And that was right. The riad exceeded my expectations because the atmosphere was so friendly and sociable. Everyone has a generous breakfast together at a time that suits them. That means you are likely to meet others who, like you, are enjoying the experience of being in Fez and being in the heart of a distinctive part of Fez, the old Jewish Quarter of narrow streets where families live and children play, and where craftspeople work, small shops trade (like the baker, the sweetshop, the seamstress) and cafes offer vantage points, mint tea and a chance to watch stalks nest and cats stroll by. There are seven rooms, so the place never feels busy when full. The riad offers a break, should you need it, from casual meanderings and targeted discoverings in the city: the rooms are a good size, the decoration distinctive, restful and attractive, and the hospitality offered by Roberta and Nouzah calm and delightful. The area has a bustle, and you'd expect that in a thriving community, but it's never too much and nights are quiet. Nowhere in Fez is really so far from here that you can't reach it on foot (except the airport, which is a taxi ride away - where you'd want it to be). Do you really need to look elsewhere?

Negative: We had 2 rooms, 1 was very small with no window, the other was next to a noisy street. The bathroom was extremely small. The drink served at breakfast resembled a powdered instant drink very surprising, in a country where fresh oranges are 2 a penny.

Positive: Beautiful riad, in a fair good location. The rooms are big, clean and well furnished with everything you need. The staff were super welcoming and helpful.

Negative: The washrooms are very tiny and the furniture inside looks like it’s about to fall apart. Needs more maintenance

Positive: This was the cutest, beautifully designed riad. Nouzha is attentive and kind, trying to help anyway she could. She made us tea upon arrival which was a nice touch. The private bathroom was a plus! Roberta, one of the owners, helped us get to our tour. Thank God she helped us because we didn’t know where to go. The only bad part was staying just one night

Positive: Location in easy walking distance of Medina and large garden. Quiet, clean rooms beautifully decorated in the Moroccan style by local artisans. Individually controlled room temperature. Excellent, fresh food that the cook customizes for dietary restrictions (I am gluten-free). And especially, caring and competent staff.

Negative: Older or frail travelers will want to be careful on the steps between floors—perfectly safe, but somewhat narrow.

Summary: Living as many Moroccans live, but upscale (decoration, food, service).

Positive: Good location not too far from the main entry to the medina, but far enough that it was a bit more quiet and more open space than in the crowded medina. Easy to find, due to signs and numbered houses in the street. The roof terrace was great for meals, sunset and sunrise. The food made by Nuzha and Selma was the best I had in Morocco, and they were able to prepare gluten free options for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Positive: Very beutiful riad in the middle of the jewish quarter and with easy access to the medina. The staff is amazing and has been very helpful when my husband got sick. The breakfast is one of the best be had in Morocco. We stayed there when we first arrived in Morocco and decided to stay there again just before flying out. Great place!
