Positive: The host Christian is kind and easily reachable by WhatsApp. When I told him I was coming by train, he sent me a walking route that took me to the apartment, passing by local sights and landmarks along the way. The hosts also provided refreshments in the fridge. The room is spacious. Wifi and A/C (and fans) were appreciated. The location is great, central to everything downtown including the canal area, Piazza Unita, and some of the best gelato shops. The apartment is also decorated well, really cozy.
Negative: This is not the hosts' fault but the building design. I noticed these types of buildings put the restroom opposite the bedroom, such that I have to go through the common area or by the front door to get between them. It's not the most accessible.
