Welcome to one of the best neighborhoods in New Paltz! Close to Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park as well as New Paltz and Gardiner. We feel very lucky to offer a private, brand new 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment that comfortably accommodates 4 on the second floor of our carriage house. The open floor plan, tall ceilings and large windows provide for a light and airy space that accommodates 4 adults comfortably. The bedroom has a queen size bed and plenty of closet space with beautiful views of the pond. There is a futon in the living room with a very comfortable queen size mattress along with a smaller closet. Guests can belly up to the bar while preparing a meal in the kitchen. The kitchen has basic spices, oils, coffee and tea. There is a small balcony off the living room to get some fresh air or sit and enjoy a drink. The balcony looks down on the blue stone patio with gas grill and fire pit. Dine al fresco on the balcony or patio. The bathroom has a washer, dryer, hair dryer and plenty of toiletries.
Enjoy seasonal views from the apartment. Feel free to go for a walk around the 5-acre property and experience beautiful year-round panoramic views of the ridge or quiet moments by the pond. Go out for a walk, run or bike ride right from your door step through the neighborhood and enjoy views of the ridge along the way.
Our location is great for quick and easy access to the Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park as well as exploring in New Paltz and Gardiner.
Our family of 4+1 pooch and an indoor cat live in the home next door. We are sure to provide our guests with privacy, but often can be found around the property to answer any questions or concerns, and of course are always available by cell phone. Both dwellings are Energy Star and were constructed in 2016.

Summary: Our stay was a halfway place between two Christmas family visits. View of the Gunks! The walk up was cozy and clean. Coffee maker and everything else you might need. The biggest bathtub I have ever seen! Heavenly! Jamie was awesome. Check in easy. She was flexible and let us arrive a bit early. And when we had a problem with the Tv, she fixed it right away. Wish we had time to explore the area! We would come back!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay over thanksgiving holiday! Bed and futon were very comfortable, and kitchen was nicely appointed. This neighborhood is very dark on a moonless night so we appreciated the motion sensor lighting and ease of parking. Property has beautiful views and lots of forest. We look forward to a future visit!!

Summary: Loved staying here. It was an adorable, clean place. New and perfectly decorated and maintained. Enjoyed the private patio off our stoop to relax by the fire pit. The owner was so easy to work with. And the bed was sooooo comfy! Just know there is a young family on property, which we didn't know so you may hear and feel doors slamming (as the breezeway to the apartment is connected to their home) and hear kids yelling at times which we weren't expecting. Otherwise, a perfect getaway spot with nice views!

Summary: Loved this place. My husband and I (and our dog) really enjoyed this cute walk up in a beautiful setting. Close to spectacular hiking and biking. Spotless, great hosts, excellent value, great location. Could not ask for more. Check out the German restaurant nearby- great beer and food. We will be back!

Summary: My weekend was a Mothers's Day gift, so I could rest, relax and do what I love most=HIKE! The location was idyllic, the place was very comfortable with central A/C and it had all the amenities of home. Summary: Jamie was a pleasure to communicate with and provided us with plenty of information before the trip. Check-in was easy and Jamie even offered to do a walkthrough of the rental with us when we arrived. The location was ideal for us, split between the town of New Paltz and Lake Minnewaska State Park. A short 15 minute drive would get you to either location if interested in shopping in town or exploring the trails at Lake Minnewaska. The Mohonk Preserve was also nearby with several options to explore the outdoors. The walk-up was just the perfect size as the area above the garage provided a living room, dining area, bathroom and bedroom. All furniture was in excellent condition. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed as we prepared dinner there every night during our stay. The view driving to the walk-up and behind the home is incredible, especially in the morning as the light reflects off the Shawangunk Mountains. Thanks you Jamie for sharing your space with us.

Summary: We had a wonderful time here over Thanksgiving. We cooked in the fully-equipped kitchen and really enjoyed relaxing in the walk-up. Our dog particularly enjoyed running around the property. Close to hiking, rock climbing, and downtown New Paltz. Can't wait to stay here again!
