Newly Renovated. Welcome to "Collins Run on the Lake". Yours to enjoy with all of the tranquility, seclusion and comfort you deserve. Treat yourselves to this pet friendly, lake-front property on Baynes Lake great for sunsets and views. Perfect for those looking for a getaway on a quiet beautiful lake. End your day with a fire by the lake, roasting marshmallows and spotting Bald Eagles.
Don't forget about all of the wintertime fun activities as well. There is usually a path cleared for ice skating and wintertime hikes. Ice fishing tents are plentiful throughout the winter season. Cross country skiing, snowmobiling and for your skiing and snowboarding activities, Fernie Alpine Resort is a short 30 minute drive away.
5 minute drive to the nearest boat launch at Lake Koocanusa. swimming at Kikomun Lake is a 15 minute walk away or 3 minute drive. There is also a 4 person (2 adults & 2 children) paddle boat you will have access to.
Lower level has been updated with brand new hardwood flooring throughout. A/C has been added.
Camping trailers, tents and RVs are not allowed and, if found, will be subject to fines and the possible cancellation of the reservation. Thank you for your understanding.
All properties are equipped with decibel monitoring software. Our neighbours would appreciate you respecting our zero-tolerance policy to noise complaints and the quiet time rules being respected. Due to the new regulations at Baynes Lake, capacity cannot exceed 10 total guests or fines will occur. Max. 6 parking spots and no street parking allowed.

Summary: Everything was excellent! The place exceeded our expectations. Check in was easy with a lock box, gorgeous property and scenery, loved the dock and fire pit area, a perfect thanksgiving weekend stay for our group of 4 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog. Very well stocked kitchen, bathrooms also very well stocked with towels, shampoo, soap, etc., bedrooms were very large with extra bedding and lots of pillows, the dog run/ fenced yard was amazing. Highly recommend!

Summary: Excellent house/location for a family get together. Great attention to detail in the home, beautifully stocked with everything we needed during our stay. Gorgeous lake, fire pit area, selection of decks throughout the day. Could not ask for a better place for our gathering! I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Summary: Everything was exactly as described in the Vrbo listing. A couple of problems at check in were dealt with very quickly by Diana. Some rest and relaxation by the lake in the mountains was exactly what our family needed!

Summary: Our family of 6 adults, a 3.5 year old + 15 month old enjoyed this incredibly quiet spot over a period of 10 days. The pictures and on line description are as is (other than the rowboat which is not there). It was clean throughout with plenty of supplies in the kitchen and bathrooms. The BBQ was great for all our meals. The lake is not swimmable but we enjoyed our canoe for early morning and evening paddles. The pedal boat is there too. The small sandy beach was great for the kids before driving over to the other lakes in the area. We had planned to bring our 2 family dogs but had not noticed/read the finer print, until well after we had booked. Initially the AC was not working. I do want to emphasize, the AC was fixed. Fernie Central Res. was very quick to respond doing all they could over a long weekend to remedy the situation. Once the plumber arrived on the Tuesday, it was a quick fix. We had to turn the whole system off though as the furnace filters had to be replaced to avoid other potentially immediate problems/damage. Again our contact, Diana, was on it arranging for filters to be delivered that day by the owner's family members who live nearby. While delivering them they also helped that same evening to eliminate an active wasp nest from above the back deck. Arrangements were also made should we begin to run out of water. There was plenty for our time there. A few things of note: - the final sets of stones steps to the lake are not for anyone with mobility issues and quite a challenge with a toddler - the bathtub is VERY VERY dangerously slippery - we bought a bathmat - the full K bed - a great mattress but the frame or box spring (?) squeaks terribly with every move - the upper bunk is not for adults (use the trundle underneath) the frame used to help pull one up to the top bunk felt as though it would break off and while lying on the top - any movement - the whole bed shakes - with Diana's help providing the dimensions, we brought an adjustable child's gate to block off the top of the living room stairs. On the upper deck, we lay a chair on it's side at the top of those stairs - as our 5 month old is on the move. We did enjoy our time. Appreciated the help and would recommend this home.

Summary: This house is good. Very fine thinking has gone behind equipping this house with all necessary things and placing them at right place. It has nice front yard and we were welcomed by a herd of deers when we arrived. We enjoyed the stay. Only one difficulty we faced was in locating the trash bin which took a while. I recommend this house.
