When you Escape to Great Harbour, you now have the option to stay at our all new beach villa, “Rising Tides.” This fully furnished, fully decorated oasis features all of the amenities required for weeks of vacation mode and maybe more.
To paint a picture of this little slice of paradise, your return from the beach will lead you a few steps to your home away from home, to the outdoor patio. This spacious area is essential for entertaining guests with a beautiful teak table with umbrella and a new Weber grill to get your burger and dogs cooking. This could be the center and dance floor for your next island cookout.
The front door has impeccably easy access with an electronic lock that will lead you into the living area, which is equipped with a smart TV where you can login to all of your favorite streaming services and initiate binge mode.
The kitchen is open concept with a great island that’s perfect for meal prep, mixology, all your meals, or just a casual hang. Adjacent to the kitchen is one of the two full bathrooms with a shower.
Taking a trip up the spiral staircase, you’ll come upon the bedroom with a king bed and full master bathroom, which features the bonus amenity of a washer and dryer. This master bedroom has another smart TV to catch up on your shows, a walk-in closet, and best of all, a balcony that overlooks the lush greenery this island is known for.
Another staircase will lead you up to a perched loft that, like a crow’s nest, will give you a grand vista of the beach. The loft sleeps three people with a king bed and single, overlooking the master bedroom below. This loft is ideal for the kids or any guests who are visiting.

Outside
The Beach Villas on Great Harbour Cay are just steps away from the beach. Step outside to your private terrace with garden view, turn the corner and you’ll find yourself steps from the ocean and the turquoise blue Bahamian waters. You’ll have access to towels and beach chairs in the villa, so all you need to do is sit on the beach under the tiki with a cold beverage for the entire day or take part in fishing and water sports, if that’s your brand of beer.

Boating & Fishing
Rising Tides is on the beach side of the island but Great Harbour Cay Marina is just a few minutes drive from the Beach Villas. Great Harbour also provides some of the best fishing in the world and is often referred to as "The Fish Bowl of the Bahamas".
Beyond
The island offers miles of roaming territory for those wilderness explorers. For those adventurous boaters, Hoffmann’s Cay has a world wonder located deep in the jungles - a massive Blue Hole that’s perfect for snorkeling, paddle boarding and looking into the deep dark underwater abyss. Rising Tides is a five minute walk on the beach from the world famous Beach Club, which was a haven for The Rat Pack in the 60s and has now become an island staple of great food and drinks. If you want a getaway to mingle with locals and other visitors, The Beach Club is the place to be. Other nearby restaurants include Coolie Mae’s Sunset By The Sea, Hammerheads, and the CarrieEarl Restaurant. There are several small grocery stores on the island where you can buy any others essentials you may need.

Neighborhood overview
Great Harbour Cay is the largest island, and capital of the Berry Islands, Bahamas. While you can see two "Cruise-ship" Islands from Great Harbour Cay, this island is relatively undiscovered, which means you will feel like you have the beach all to yourself!
There are several ways to get to Great Harbour Cay by way of Nassau or Florida. From Ft. Lauderdale, FL Tropic Ocean Air and Makers Air have regular flights to and from GHC each week. There are also several charter companies that can fly you and your family to the island. The one airport on the island is a short, 1-2 minute drive from Rising Tides.
Many choose to bring their boats and sail to GHC; Great Harbour Marina is a wonderful place to dock.

Getting around
While you can walk or bike to some locations on Great Harbour Cay, to get farther on the island you may want to rent a car; there is a car rental located conveniently at the Great Harbour Cay Marina. Another way you may want to get around the Island or even to some surrounding cays, is by boat. There are boat rentals or charters available at the Marina as well.
In terms of getting to the island, there are a few ways to do that. First, is to fly to Nassau and take one of the daily flights from Nassau to Great Harbour Cay (GHC) on LeAir. The second option is to take a scheduled flight from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. There are two companies that fly out of Ft. Lauderdale that have scheduled flights several times a week to GHC. They are Tropic Ocean Air and Makers Air. The third option would be to charter a flight, we can recommend some companies that fly out of the South Florida area into GHC. If you have a big enough group flying together, the cost may be similar to, or less expensive than, the scheduled flight costs.
