Positive: Everything! Plenty of food options. Very relaxing if that's your vibe but also daily planned activities for those who want to do something.

Negative: I'm a native so I'm being very critical here. The beach is just ok, sand in the water feels mushy underfoot and there are too many holes. It was as if they covered up a coral reef with black sand which causes the water to look murky. The public beach (Long Bay) is so much better and it's about a 3 minute drive away.

Positive: The staff was very helpful, and the resort was relaxing. The food at Island Cove buffet was much better than Green Island buffet.

Negative: There was no disco club, nor was it a resort to go to if you are looking to have nighttime fun with friends. It is definitely a family resort.

Positive: The food and service was amazing. The grounds and facilities were tip top shape and I really felt that we got a great deal. Not so close to the airport but definitely worth it, best beaches and diving on this side of the island.

Negative: The beach bottom is terrible and needs attention. Prices at the store are ridiculous and in bad taste. Dinner reservations need to be till 10pm in the restaurants, if you have an 8:30 scheduled felt rushed to be done with.

Positive: It was beautiful. Loved the variety of food and they managed to display the Jamaican culture well.

Negative: 1. No elevators - I have issues with stairs (arthritis and fibromyalgia) and my husband and I were placed on the 3rd floor. 2. The best restaurants were booked out waaay in advance so by day 3 we grew tired of the buffet. It was the same things all 3 days. 3. The no-smoking areas are not maintained - while I understand that they have limited staff and can’t manage thousands of people 100% smokers in my opinion were allowed to smoke openly everywhere. I’m asthmatic and can’t tolerate the vapors from vaping or cigarettes yet no one seems to care that they were in the no-smoking zones. And it’s a family resort? Kind of iffy there.

Summary: 7/10 experience. I think going with friends enhanced the experience

Positive: The facility was well kept, and the food was good. Ms. Marcia from house keeping should be a manager. She’s so pleasant.The photographer was so talented and creative. The food at Steakhouse was subpar compared to other restaurants on the island. Everything was perfect. I’ll never stay anywhere other than RIU Negril!

Negative: The food at Steakhouse needs a more cultural (Jamaican) inspired chef highlighting steak dinners served in Jamrock.

Summary: I didn’t want to leave.
