Go North-East 15 minutes and you can enjoy the Giant Ceder Trees at The Ross Creek Cedars Scenic Park near the Kootenai National Forest. Continue 20 minutes North-East and enjoy Kootenai Swinging Bridge and amazing waterfall rapids at Kootenai Falls State Park Area. Camping areas are abundant, and guided fly fishing and river fishing tours are available through expert local guides. If you want wilderness, fun and hospitality, we would LOVE to have you! Summary: We loved our stay here! The hosts were on property so it was easy to check in/out as well as communicate with them! We were greeted w fresh eggs and Russian cookies as well as a good kitchen space. There were plenty of towels and bedding and lots of sleeping room. One issue was the electricity in the master bedroom wasn’t working so neither was the AC unit. The WiFi also did not work and there was no cell service so be prepared to completely unplug here!

Summary: Beautiful surroundings, great hosts--accessible-- peaceful, relaxing. We had lots of smoke from forest fires and a plumbing problem that created an odor. No one's fault.

Summary: Wonderful rooms and views of the river. Our kids had a blast at the local swimming pond and my wife and I enjoyed the view from the deck.

Summary: Chris and Nadiya are exceptional hosts! They greeted us when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. We really appreciated Chris checking in on my wife's handicapped brother throughout the day that we went hiking. The house was a great place to relax after a day of local activities. We were only in Heron for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The local rivers and the Cabinet Mountains make this one of the prettiest spots in Montana!

Summary: Chris, Nadiya and their amazing kids were the most perfect and gracious hosts. They went out of their way to make sure we had a lovely time. They transported kayaks for us, showed us their favorite swim holes and made us feel like family. Their children were the perfect ages to blend with our children, making for an even more delightful vacation! Nothing warms a mama's heart more than the sound of laughter and fun being had by all! Thanks so much for being amazing hosts and showing us the best part of Montana! We will be back!!
