Summary: It's a step back in time.. with maintained original hardware from long ago. Nice location Nice view from the sun porch of town. - Host Tim was very responsive to needs and a good communicator.

Summary: We grew up in Sutton and were there to visit my mom. Found this cute spot in the center of Barton and it worked out perfectly. The Owners live in the main house and raise beautiful Russian Sheep Dogs. They were in recovery mode from the recent flooding, but thankfully the guest house wasn't affected. There was a nice fenced in spot behind the house for our dog, it is close to the Crystal Lake and the grocery store is a minute away. The screened in porch was a great spot to relax and read a book and visit with family. We had everything we needed for our short 3-day stay. We had a great time and would stay there again. Thank you!

Summary: Our family absolutely loved staying here. Everybody was friendly, accommodating and responded quickly to questions or issues. The property is beautiful and the annex was perfect for our purposes. There is a country charm to the simplicity of everything here. Everything is functional and well maintained. We were given free reign on the property which at the time of our stay had 3 friendly horses which our children got to interact with. Everything is close, including scenic Crystal Lake. The highway is close enough to get places but far enough not to be heard. I would absolutely recommend this property to friends and family. Truly a welcome and calming vacation!

Summary: We rented the Hanson House for our wedding party to stay in for the weekend (along with the annex across the street for people who wanted their own space). We also rented the barn for our wedding and rehearsal. It was absolutely perfect!!! The house has more than enough room for everyone (plus the catering kitchen gave extra food storage for our caterers) and the barn and patio accommodated our 140 guest wedding plus DJ booth, photobooth, and bar with ease. We had yard games set up in the patio and the food tent and no one was cramped for space. We truly could not have asked for anything more perfect!! We wouldn't change a thing about our country barn wedding<3 Cheryl and Tim were amazing and so helpful! They stopped by a few times to make sure we were all set and to see if we needed anything which was so sweet!! We really felt like we were at home and our wedding party is already talking about going back next summer!!! Absolutely love this place!!!

Summary: Great accommodations for a weekend Jay Peak & Burke Mountain double header. More spacious than it looks & plenty enough room for 6 adults. Walking distance to local breakfast joint. 5m off highway. < 20m to Burke, ~30m to Jay. While older in look/feel pricing was unbelievable, owners friendly, and location great.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. everything was as described. I would like to mention a few things that made our stay pleasurable. First I was impressed that the pots and pans were new and none stick. Yes it`s a very small thing but staying at other rentals in my life I felt that the owners wanted us to feel at home and didn`t just use hand me downs for there rental. Secondly, on the first morning (early), after a late arrival, we had some problems with the water pipes. I was so impressed with the quick response from the owners. The problem was completely out of theirs or our control, (due to weather) but they were so quick in finding solutions that I have no dough in my mind that they did everything that was possible. I would have no problem recommending this rental to friends, family and even strangers. Just don`t book it the weekend that we plan on going for next year, as we will be coming back. :) Regards, One happy group

Summary: The location is exactly as shown on the photo. clean and welcoming. Pros: 3 bedroom located on the second floor, close to grocery (walking distance), quiet neighbourhood, the large porch. Cons: few items were missing to do the dishes, no exterior balcon to sit outside (but the porch is covered of windows). I would come again and I recommend this home.
