Located between the beach communities of South Haven and Saugatuck/Douglas, and the town of Fennville, 'Harvest Country' is home to wineries, art galleries, great dining, a ski area, bike trails, and multiple rivers and lakes for fishing and kayaking. Enjoy farmers markets, town festivals and the beach in the summer along with the gorgeous colors on display in the dense woods and rolling farmland in the fall.

Secluded Riverfront Getaway: Large 5 bedroom, 3 bath contemporary home in a park-like setting, perfect for families or groups.
At the end of a long, private tree-lined paved driveway, this riverfront property with tennis court and screened porch is located in the middle of 20 wooded acres, surrounded by large tracts of land on all sides. The 5700sf two-story home with 2-car garage has two large living areas plus an office, fireplace, three decks, beautiful views from four of the large bedrooms (one, with bathroom, on the ground floor), plus a finished basement with extra bedroom, huge comfortable den / game room with TV area and game tables, and a mudroom that opens to a covered patio, the lower back yard and fire pit area.
The large recently updated kitchen with granite countertops, side-by-side refrigerator, two dishwashers, gas cooktop and double oven opens onto the family room and dining room. Updated bathrooms, stylish decor, comfortable furniture and beds, and high quality bed and bath linens complement the guest experience. Dish TV and wireless internet included.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please confirm the breed and that they are well trained.
Summer Paradise: The screened porch includes a dining table for 8, plus a comfortable outdoor living area. The attached bluestone patio has an additional dining area and the gas grill. The sun deck is also furnished. The views from the private top floor screened deck off the master bedroom are amazing. Enjoy the fire pit and bird-watching in the back yard, horseshoes, corn hole, and bocce (all provided), and river views from the decks. Tennis rackets and balls provided for the private tennis court. Deer, turkeys and other wildlife roam the property.
1800 feet of river frontage. The designated trout stream also has steelhead and salmon running in the fall.
WIthin a 20 minute drive from the house are beaches, golf, the charming towns of South Haven, Fennville and Saugatuck/Douglas, wineries, farmers markets and you-pick orchards, lakes with boat and kayak rentals, hike and bike trails, highly rated restaurants, art galleries and antique markets.
Winter Wonderland: Enjoy the views of the river and snow on the pine and spruce trees in the winter. The living room has a large wood burning fireplace; firewood provided. The house has two furnaces and is quite cozy and warm in the winter.
The nearby Kal-Haven trail is great for cross country skiing.
A short drive away is the Bittersweet and Timber Ridge ski areas, where guests can downhill ski and snowboard; lessons, rentals and daily lift tickets available.
Downtown South Haven has an open-air ice skating rink, open daily - skate rentals available, as well as coffee and hot chocolate next door!
After booking is confirmed by Vrbo, we will execute a contract separately. This is a standard rental agreement that is required by my insurance company and shouldn't contain any surprises.

Summary: Our family gathered from different areas in Ohio and Michigan for a last summer get away before kids were back to school and some of us back to work. This home was so, so beautiful. Close to the fun and business of South Haven and Saugatuck, but a great, quiet oasis to return to. I’ve seen other reviews saying, “we wished we lived here” and I couldn’t agree more! I love this stay and would absolutely return. No complaints at all.

Summary: This property was fabulous! The indoor and outdoor spaces at this property are perfect for a group to just relax and enjoy. Plenty of room for the 9 of us golfers and within 20 minutes of several top notch golf courses.

Summary: The thing my family loved most about this house was the sheer size!!! We all wished we lived in a house this big at home. A lot of time was spent at the house playing games both indoors and out, grilling, and eating supper and having morning coffee on the patio. We spent time in both South Haven and Sagutuk as the property was conveniently located between both towns. The managers were very responsive to my requests and the house had most everything we could need. My only recommedation for guests is to bring extra towels so that you have enough for everyone in your crew. Also, note that the back porch doors push open very easily, so if you have dogs or small children, they can easily push the doors open and be on the pack patio and beyond.Highly recommend this property for your family vacation!

Summary: We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous house which is a perfect blend of rustic and modern in the middle of nature. Couldn't be a better time to visit to view the fall color of the woods surrounding the house. The amenities were top notch and the basement was perfect for some entertainment and games with friends. The only one small negative was we ran out of warm water everyday even after few people took shower but we have no complains given how much we enjoyed the rest of our stay. Michelle is an awesome host and Michael even allowed us to check out late. Would definitely love to come back.
