Welcome to one of the best locations for a family vacation. With LIMITED water views from every room. There is something for everyone, all the amenities you need while maintaining that small town feel.
The Blue House provides the perfect location for your family to kick back and relax! Park your car and don't get back in it until you leave. The beach is less than one block away!! Bring your boat, the public boat ramp is very close. There are places to eat within 1/4 mile. Bring your bike and enjoy all CB has to offer.
There's room for everyone as we comfortably accommodate up to 13 guests in five bedrooms with 8 beds. You'll enjoy the modern farmhouse décor with warm wood accents.
The property was just completely renovated and nearly every bit is brand new. With a modern but comfortable feel. Everything you need is at your fingertips.
Walk to the "South Beach" less than a block away located on the river. On the bay side of the peninsula, also only a block away from the house, is a free public boat ramp. There is also a playground across the street and a great food truck that is open every day. Take a short quarter mile walk down to the tiki bar and enjoy some food and drinks while sitting on their private beach.
Live the river life. Enjoy great fishing in many locations across the peninsula, paddle board, kayak, just float in a raft or tube, or just go for a splash. You can't go wrong here.
Bring your bikes and have access to all that Colonial Beach has to offer. The boardwalk and main restaurant strip is less than 1.5 miles away. Once you arrive, you can park your car and just enjoy life at the beach. Or try living the Colonial Beach lifestyle and rent a golf cart, you can drive anywhere in the Town of Colonial Beach with one.
If you want to jump in your car for a short drive and discover the rich history of the area, including the birthplace of George Washington. Don't miss out on Belle Grove plantation or one of the wineries, VA is after all one of the top wine destinations behind California.
After running around all day, you may want to enjoy some of the great restaurants in the area, including my personal favorite, Oomboon.
Parking is ample. There is a long pull through driveway that can accommodate several cars and/or a truck towing a boat. You can park 2 cars in front of the house as well and another in the paved driveway.
Other things to note
The house is a one level home, but does have 1 step in two different places.
**Please note that currently no cable or fiber optics have been run to the house. DISH TV and WiFi is provided, but the only option for the house is satellite internet. This works for many items you may wish, but please be aware if you are a heavy internet user that it will not be as fast as some internet providers. **

Summary: This was our first visit to Colonial Beach and we were pleased with the feel and walk ability of the area. This house was decorated nicely and was well- appointed especially in the kitchen. The kitchen island has lots of space on top and in the island drawers and cabinets for any food you have. The appliances are newer and all worked well. The beach at the southern end of the peninsula is a short walk away. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. I would strongly recommend this house.

Summary: The cottage is well laid out with everything on 1 level, no steps. It is located on the very point of Colonial Beach and very close to both the main river and also the Bay. All the neighbors are friendly as well. This was our 2nd time staying here and will back for sure.

Summary: The Blue House is beautiful inside. It is kid friendly without any breakable decorations or knick knacks. The house was spotless when we arrived. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. The playground is virtually next door so we could watch the kids while sitting on the deck. My daughter's corgi and my 17 month old grandson loved the fenced in yard. Shaun was responsive when one of the kids locked all of the clothes in the closet and we couldn't get in. He came right away and unlocked it for us. The beds are so comfortable! There is ample parking. We had 5 vehicles. We were 8 adults and 5 kids and one dog and we were comfortable with plenty of room in the house. We all had the best time and would stay here again.

Summary: We absolutely loved the home and Shaun and Izabella were always quick to reply with questions we had. A very quiet town, wished there was more to do in the area though especially with 5 kids. We had a great time and would come back. Only complaint would be better Wi-Fi.
