Positive: Overall, the villas were spacious and newly renovated. We traveled as a group of two adults and two children, and the space was more than sufficient for us. The area was quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated. When we visited, it was snowing, and the view from the villa courtyard towards the river and surrounding nature was absolutely stunning. The breakfast was simple but adequate for a short stay of two days. The staff were very helpful and responsive to our requests.

Negative: While the overall cleanliness of the villas was acceptable, the space felt quite dusty, and it was noticeable that proper deep cleaning and dusting had not been done prior to our arrival. We were supposed to check in around 2–3 PM, and although we arrived late in the evening, the villa was still very cold. As a result, we had to spend the first night in an uncomfortably cold environment. When we raised this issue, we were told that the heating system was on; however, it was clear that it had been turned on too late. This caused additional discomfort, especially for the children. If it weren’t for the heating issue, we would have rated the stay higher. However, as guests staying only two nights, having to spend one night in such cold conditions created a significant inconvenience.

Positive: The house was very clean, it had everything to live in and the hosts were super-friendly! The view was awesome, you can hear the sound of the river (and nothing else btw, very calm and peaceful). Definitely worth staying here!

Positive: We stayed in villa no. 3. It has a lounge and washroom in the ground floor and two bedrooms on the 1st floor. It’s a good place if you want to enjoy the nature and beautiful views of the river and mountains. In the night you can open the windows to enjoy the fresh cool air. The staff is super friendly and eager to help. We loved the traditional breakfast which included Azeri tea, choice of country eggs, bread, butter, home made jam, honey, cream and cream cheese. You need a car to move around to explore the area as there is no supermarket nearby. We didn’t try it but they also serve meals at their onsite restaurant. River view villas is a great place to stay and make day trips to the Shahdag mountains. We discovered a very nice Restaurant/fish farm called Rancho at a 10 minute drive across the river. It has great Azeri food/fish and some activities for kids.

Negative: There is only one air conditioner in the whole villa. On a hot summer day it might be a bit uncomfortable. We didn’t face any issue since the weather was quite pleasant during our stay. Darker room curtains would be a great help for people who are not used to sleeping in the light.
