Summary: Rivers hotel & restaurant is a great place to stay when visiting Sluis. The owner and his staff make you feel very welcome, the rooms are nice*, modern, well equipped and the breakfast is very good. *The mattress a bit too soft, but this is personal. Overall I can highly recommend this hotel.

Summary: Lovely little hotel next to the river in Sluis. Really friendly helpful staff, spotlessly clean, comfortable room with tea/coffee making facilities. Great views out over the river. Breakfast was a bit more basic than some hotels we have stayed in but it was good and plentiful.

Summary: Lovely location in the centre of this picturesque town but I was surprised it was so closed in the evening compared with how busy it is at lunch times.

Summary: The totally refurbished hotel opened in January 2017 so the state of the rooms is tip-top. All have a charming view over the canal and electric blinds to keep out the heat in the day and mosquitoes at night. Simple. modern layout to the rooms; a reasonable size for such a traditional building. Rooms are up one or two flights of somewhat steep and narrow steps (no lift but the staff offered to help with the bags immediately). Location is in the heart of this charming little town. We stayed for a night but will return and for longer. Plenty of character and very comfortable. There is not hotel car park but the town is well catered for sensibly priced car parking. We parked in the main square - two minutes away, but could have parked right outside.
