Summary: Although our stay at Riverside Cottage was a busy working vacation, evenings at the cottage were very relaxing. We loved the babbling brook sounds coming from the river, and especially loved seeing a small flock of mergansers paddle up and down stream. We enjoyed evening walks along the rail trail, accessible just a few steps up the lane. Hosts David and Kathy are welcoming and accessible, and intent on ensuring their guests have an enjoyable stay. We feel they received an unfairly harsh review from a guest in June. The rental is accurately described in the listing as a COTTAGE, and prospective guests should be prepared for a cottage experience. Regarding the June reviewer’s 'not safe for small children' comment - this would be true only if you don't plan to supervise your children, as it is very clear from the listing that this cottage is right on the river!

Summary: The cottage was clean and met our needs. Centrally located for day trips. Close to beaches and hiking trails. Host was friendly and quick to respond if needed.

Summary: Beautiful location with river running behind property, clean, had all amenities, lots of room for our stay, excellent veranda outside bug free, quite area with walking paths very close, TV and wifi excellent. Owner very welcoming and available, easy to get ahold of. Enjoyed our stay very much!!
