Summary: This lovely home is a labor of love. Owner built, piece by piece, and you can tell. Super clean!! Did not even see a cobweb!! Off the beaten track along side a river. Gorgeous. Saw moose across the river and the Aurora at night during the clear nights. Beautiful! Everything was as pictured and described! Warm heated floors. Softened water. A garage!! Bonus!! Loved the induction stove! Every kind of coffee maker and hot water maker there is.Sleeping arrangements for two couples was good as bedrooms are on different sides of the house. Each had their own bathroom from the halls. Comfortable couches in the LR. The laundry room was perfect for drying our snowy coats, hats, etc. Very nice place!! The only downside, VERY MINOR, was we would have liked more of the deck shoveled. The front steps were icy until we chipped the ice away. No biggie. We are from Colorado Rockies and we know you have to get the snow up right away or you have ice until April. But just a great place to stay. Warm and welcoming and would stay again.

Summary: The cabin ticked all the boxes for our Alaskan winter vacation. It was remote enough that we saw moose from the cabin, as well as had a fantastic night of aurora viewing from its outdoor firepit and river’s edge. Saying that, the cabin is close enough (15 min drive) to North Pole for shopping etc. And the quality of the cabin was what the website photos depicted. We were very happy with our choice to stay here. Thanks to Bonita and John!!

Summary: Property exceeded all expectations. Very tastefully decorated and the hosts went above and beyond with providing all of the essentials to get started. Beautiful home and location. We came for the Northern Lights, but we would come back just to enjoy all that the property and its location has to offer.

Summary: It was a magical visit. Our whole family joined us and we saw the aurora which was spectacular. The house was cozy, well maintained and clean. The host was responsive to our questions. We had one issue and the co-host came over right away to assist in getting it resolved.

Summary: John and Bonita’s cabin was perfect for our family. Everything is as pictured and had everything we needed. The cabin and property was beautiful in every way, I was so impressed that John built the cabin himself!!! It was so special! They were AMAZING hosts answering all our questions quickly. We would love to return and definitely stay here.

Summary: We have rented dozens of homes over the last few decades and this one is our all time favorite! Clean, Comfortable and it had everything we could possibly need to make our stay enjoyable. We felt like we were in the Alaskan wilderness and we were only 15 minutes from restaurants and shopping. Great layout, wonderful view and very comfortable. We miss it already and we miss the visits from Karma even more. Thanks for taking such good care of us, we look forward to returning.

Summary: The cabin was truly wonderful! The pictures actually don't compare to when you're staying in there. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds comfortable. The bathrooms were clean with good pressure and hot water. If you were chasing the Northern Lights ( Aurora Borealis ) like we were, this location was ideal too. Our group travelled to the known 'spots' for viewing the Northern lights - Murphy Dome, Creamer's Field, Chena Hot Springs - but we had the best views and experience outside the cabin itself with a roaring fire by the pit or just stay indoors then look out when the Aurora starts. We certainly would book this gem again in the future and would recommend it to anyone!
