Summary: Can’t say enough about this beautiful house & location! Our family thoroughly enjoyed every single minute! One son caught his first trout on the bank of the river. And, we made a fire in the Fire pit right on the river at night & made s’mores. We did the VA Creeper Bike Trail which was an hour away. We also hiked at Graceson Highlands State Park & were lucky enough to see the wild ponies. We were going to Kayak on the New River however we decided to just hang at the beautiful cabin the last day & night & play games & just enjoy our Family Time! This cabin is the perfect spot for a family gathering!

Summary: Beautiful home - interior and exterior. River access was wonderful, my grandsons, husband and son loved fishing. There is a firepit, adirondack chairs and picnic table at the river which we used and was so nice! The outdoor fireplace was a great place to relax after hiking or fishing, we used it a great deal. The beds were all comfy and spacious bedrooms. There is also a gas fireplace in the home which was very handy for myself to use when the rest of family was out fishing. Tim was a terrific and answered all our questions quickly. Lansing/West Jefferson was close by and such a welcoming small community. We hope to be back soon!

Summary: We had a wonderful week swimming in the river, roasting marshmallows at the outdoor fireplace, taking in the amazing view from the various porches, kayaking on the New, biking on the Creeper Trail. Beautiful and luxurious mountain home. Tim was a great host, answering all questions promptly and generously accommodating a scheduling conflict. I only wish that we could have stayed longer!

Summary: This house was the best! The outdoors and indoors were blended beautifully; a wonderful attention to detail create a perfect blend of coziness and mountain majesty. The picturesque views from the deck(s) combined with the sound of the river below and the warmth of the outdoor fireplace was everything we needed. The house is well designed and beautiful. The hammer beam vaulted roof and focus on handmade furniture throughout the house not only makes you feel welcome, but you never want to leave! We had a large group of 12 and we all slept comfortably with room to spare. The two dens (each with huge rocky fireplaces), as well as other smaller spaces throughout the house allowed for privacy as well. The kitchen and baths were clean and orderly. The setting is fantastic. Although the house is perched on a steep slope on the river, pathways have been cut along the ground to make the walk safe and fun. A smaller deck just on the riverbank allows for further gathering. The landscaping around the home is also beautiful and thoughtful; it further nestles the house into the natural spaces around it. This house is a real gem. It is everything you want in a mountain house. Tim, the owner, was easy to work with and responsive and made logistics a breeze. What else is there to say? This house is perfect.
